I got tired of not being able to control my fan on my shelf and ceiling. This one device turned anything with a remote into Alexa enabled.I can now set my AC and leave it on fan or turned off when I go to work. If it ends up being hotter in the day and I want the house cooled down, I just go to the app and turn the AC on as I leave work. And it feels great walking into a cool house instead of a hotbox that will take an hour to cool down.

Bought this to control an off-brand tower fan with its own remote. There are a lot of options in the SmartHome app, but make sure to follow instructions, because it's very capable. The device we wanted to control is not standard, but the app's learning mode is very easy to work with and had no issues with the oddball brand remote. Been using the device with Alexa for weeks and it's been quite reliable.

Bad! I buy 2 smart remote controls and received just one and a broken google device
The media could not be loaded. I received one wifi smart remote control instead 2, and a broken google tv device that i never bought, i am abroad.. what i am suppose to do?
