I Bought this dashcam along with the hardwire kit for my car. As I began the installation I realized I had ordered the incorrect hardwire kit (micro USB vs. USB-C connector). I immediately emailed the customer service address and explained the problem. I was amazed to receive an answer within 2 hours asking for shipping information for the correct part. Two days later I had the correct part. Now that's GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!I have installed the dash cam with the hardwire kit and the camera is high resolution and working as promised. I upgraded the 64gb SD card to a 256gb for better storage. I will soon install the rear facing camera and suspect I will be equally happy with it's picture quality and ease of installation.To sum up, the MioFive S1 Ultra is a high quality dash cam that installs easily and performs well in it's function as a dash cam. Add to that, outstanding customer service and you have a great deal.

Takes a while pulling the cable and hiding it in the trim but the result is excellent. The front camera is located on the left side of the windshield up high. I mounted the rear camera onto the rear accessory lamp cover using velcro. I added the hardwire kit and connected the wires in the fuse box next to the steering wheel using the fuse splitter. I chose the 20 Amp 12 Volt Socket fuse. Be sure to install the splitter correctly. Now when I turn the car off it keeps recording for a time. It has never run my battery down. The resulting video is in 4K both front and rear. The videos are one minute in length. The front video has an 'A;, the rear has a 'B' appended to the file name. I usually remove the SD card and view the files with my computer, it's much faster than downloading to my phone. I am pleased with its performance.

Super easy setup and with the correct Dongar pig tail you can plug it into your rear view mirror harness for a wire free install. The cord to the rear can easily tucks away from sight around doors and the trim and is plenty long enough. You can select the video quality for recording on both cameras. Only giving 4 stars cuz the front camera is larger than I anticipated so to keep it out of the driver vision I had to put it on the passenger side of the rear view mirror. Really wanted to have it on the drivers side but I didn’t want any blind spots in the drivers view of the road. It is a good camera and connects easily with your phone to adjust settings. Recommend buying a larger capacity micro SD card and reader for pulling off videos.

A very important thing for customers to know is that this product cannot be installed on the rear window of a toyota 4 runner.This information should be noted

Keeping it 💯. For the price it's a great product. Super clear front and rear 4k, able to read license plate from about 1-2 car lengths away. Easy installation without hardwire kit. Plug and play. Front camera can be easily taken down and put back. I bought because of the rear 4k and it is as clear as you need. Night vision is great depending on lighting. You can adjust exposure on both cameras separately.

The only surprise was a lot of reflection from interior or car. The available CPL filter on front cam solved this, CPL highly recommend. No filter available yet for rear, so I just ignore it. Image quality is very good, and completely satisfactory for the intended purpose.

Got this dashcam for my wife’s car and it has really good quality. The “AI” settings aren’t that useful, so I turned them off.After 8 months the front unit started having issues staying powered on. After trying different cords and power sources I contacted Miofive or a warranty replacement. They quickly sent a whole new dashcam set, not just the front unit, no questions asked. Fantastic customer service and will definitely use them again.I’m hopeful that I won’t get any failures after the warranty period, but time will tell.

Haven’t hooked up the back cam yet but the front works great and was easy to set up. I bought to protect myself from the occasional cop shakedown in a foreign country. No one had stopped me yet. Easy to operate. Like its cheery voice. Wirecutter recommended mid price camera with back up cam.
