Ordered these for a birthday party theme. They look very good and the 6 year olds were delighted with them. However, many of the bits broke off within an hour or two during play. I also found out that even at nearly 7 children still chew on metal objects, so I don't think I'd recommend these as gifts for younger children. They're suitable as ornaments and to look at, but don't withstand actual play.
