Q: how can these work if there is no adhesive on the quarter round pieces?

I'm not sure what you mean by the quarter round but here are the general instructions to applying the tape.If you are applying it to the Foam Breast Form you will need to put it on the rounded portion of the form and attach to your bra. If you use the Silicone Breast Form you will need to put the tape on the pocket that the form slips into. There are complete instructions that come with the product and should not encounter any problems applying the tape.
