Dreadfleet is a boxed game for two (or more) players that includes everything you need to make war on the turbulent seas of the Warhammer world. At your command are two fleets of ships – the Dreadfleet led by the Vampire Count Noctilus, aboard his gargantuan sea-hulk the Bloody Reaver; and the Grand Alliance commanded by the Pirate Captain Jaego Roth, who recently stole the Heldenhammer – the pride of the Imperial Fleet, and one of the largest galleons to ever sail the high seas.

Excellent
Good quality for money. Hours of fun and play guaranteed. It is only for players of Warhammer who needs to know the rules of the game.

Great models - poor gameplay.
It's great to see GamesWorkshop putting out self contained boxed games again, and this is a classic product of theirs - the model ships, terrain pieces, and seascape mat are all brilliant. Sadly, the game mechanics don't really live up to the rest of the box. The way the models are moved, and how combat is resolved feels nothing like sailing, or fighting with ships, and at times the procedures are downright wierd. This is puzzling because their earlier Man O' War game is excellent, far and away the best commercial game with model ships ever made. Presumably the Dreadfleet design team were all land wargamers and the couple of old salts who produced Man O' War couldn't get their voices heard!

lots of fun
It is the perfect game for people that like wargames or would like to try one without having to buy some entire armies of miniatures.
