AKNES|GuliKit Hall Effect Joysticks for Steam Deck OLED

This product is great! really easy to install for the first time of me ever opening something in the original steam deck OLED joystick don’t don’t really last that long these New Halifax sticks are great WORTH THE MONEY!

Better than stock. I think I had issue anyways but I got them because I have disposable income. And I'm a fan of hall effect sticks. Once again a personal opinion. Do you need to get these, Nope. They do seem to be an improvement over stock. And basically my deadzone is set to the lowest setting on the slider which I believe is 2000. Now install was a breeze. Calibration was slightly a pain. Because mine needed a little adjustment you have to press this small button to Calibrate them. While it was a pain I was obviously got them so my deadzone is completely set to the minimum level. So can you live without them yeah. If yours are broken then for sure go with these over stock. And if you just want them, I think they are a nice upgrade over stock.

The installation of these joysticks was very easy, but make sure the red wires are not underneath the blue plastic like they are in a few of these pictures. If the wire is tucked, you may hear and feel a popping/clicking sound as you rotate the joystick. Also for calibration, using the command "thumbstick_cal" in the Konsole (desktop) was significantly more accurate than trying to mess with the button on the back of the stick.I'm including a picture to show exactly what you want to avoid with the wire being tucked.

These Hall effect joysticks are a nice upgrade over the original ones. The precision they offer is definitely better, and additionally they are slightly stiffer. I initially faced a minor issue as pair I received had a flaw. However, the customer service from GuliKit was very good. Jim, in particular, went above and beyond to assist me, promptly sending a replacement pair without any hassle. This level of support ensures I’ll happily recommend GuliKit products to anyone :)

Works perfectly

Worked great for a Steam Deck OLED, feels like OEM. No modifications required. Took maybe 15 minutes start to finishDidn't come with any tools but for the price and number of 5 star reviews I'd rather that vs taking a chance on an alternative kit just because it came with a 25 cent screwdriver and plastic pry bar.

The first pair of these I ordered did not function at all and gave all kinds of crazy readings when trying to calibrate. The seller replaced them for me no problem, but the replacement turned out to be a dud too. I barely used them at all and had to switch them back out with the originals because I needed to send my Steam Deck in for repairs. When I got it back and reinstalled the GuliKit sticks, I encountered all kinds of problems. The sticks were drifting, the R-bumper button stopped working, and the right track pad was registering incorrect touches. I put the original sticks back in and everything was fine. I think the hall effect joysticks for Steam Deck OLED are just plain defective. I tried looking up instructions to recalibrate them, but these do not have recalibration buttons like the installation instructions give. Don't waste your money on these. It's not a hard mod, but the hardware is totally unreliable. I'd really like my money back since I barely even used them, but it seems its too late and Amazon offers no means of resolution at this time, so all I can do is warn everybody to STAY AWAY. IT ISN'T WORTH THE HEADACHE.

I didn't have much time to play games after getting them installed but if I run into any issues once I do I'll update Mt review if at 5 Star still it means everything is good to go.- easy install- zero deadzoneOut of the box they were off centered. Thankfully calibrating them in (Konsole) with "Thumbstick_cal" made them dead center with zero deadzone. Super stoked about that. Especially after reading reviews on the lcd version. Very happy I did not need to use the tiny button on the back of the boards.They feel like stock sticks. Tension is great. The tension is actually more than stock stick but not sure if that is due to them being new and if that will change after breaking them in. They also felt a tiny bit shorter than stock sticks but side by side they are the same size.

Best available replacement for original sticks.

Muy muy muy contento. Funciona a la perfección, instalación y calibración por Konsole perfectas. Son muy precisos mas que los que tenia de serie. Son sencillos de instalar si tienes algo de maña y conocimientos basicos.

Die Sticks habe ich bestellt weil bei mir einer zu driften begann. Montage ist super simpel mit ifixit Anleitung.Die sticks fühlen sich gut an und funktionieren einwandfrei. Die im ausgebauten Zustand zu verwenden ist Quatsch und einige Rezensenten sagten, dass die nicht rund laufen.Surprise machen die originalen auch nicht. Eingebaut ist davon nichts zu merken.Auf Langzeit müssen sie sich Beweise, aber aktuell bin ich restlos zufrieden.
