Great solvent for DIY cosmetics
It used to be that propylene glycol was the solvent of choice for some ingredients like salicylic acid unless you wanted to use alcohol, which can be drying to skin. Propanediol 1,3 is a great alternative that is thought to be less irritating. While most don't react to propylene glycol, it's always nice to use a gentler alternative.
