Recipient requested this for Christmas and was delighted to receive it

This seems like an old translation of the text. It is embellished some of the the Latin. It’s easy to read but not much help checking my attempts at translation

The cover is band and a little torn.

This translation doesn't make any sense and saps the life out of the story. It needed to be seperated off into sections, because unlinked stories are seperated merely by a paragraph break, which is confusing. It also makes the stories mush together and seem dull and repetitive, rather than 'a set of variations on a theme.'
