High quality colour for editing, with a sweet side order of Freesync for gaming
Fantastic colours, ideal for photo editing especially with the supplied hood.Amazingly stable stand for 90° portrait use, almost no bezel, and an easy go use joystick operated menu system. On top of all these professional credentials it has built in Freesync making it ideal for gaming, especially at 4k.HDR is a bit half-assed compared to modern TVs, which is a pity, but there seem to be no monitor panels made with full HDR except for the Dell 27" one.Highly recommended.

Dinky Plastic as Light Shade
This has just arrived, so will add to the review in on-going months. Not a good start, the light shield (sold as a feature of this product), is dinky plastic. So far it does not fit together properly, and the engineering is poor,. This is poor quality and not what you would expect. I hope the screen is not like this. Also zero instructions or diagrams regarding the light shield and extremely limited instructions for the screen. The on-off buttons are also complex, there is an on/off electric and then further buttons. Have yet to look at colour adjustment.

Cheap IPS monit, deceiving specs with horrible acer support.
Second feedback- 080621The monitor has 4 usb 3 and 1 type c port.. I tried the USB 3 hub for the first and it doesn't work.I then google the issue and realise that USB c needs to be connected to PC first and then you can use 4 usb 3 ports. So the USB C port which I used to connect my phone now it is being used as power bridge.THEY SHOULD HAVE SPECIFIED THIS LIMITATION ON THERE ORIGINAL SPECS. Acer support was clueless why the 4 ports were not working and were FOCUSING ON "THIS IS A MONITOR AND NOT A HUB".So why make the USB ports, just sell a flat screen.First feedback Updated 04/08/19/-After 4 months of usage, Choked to death severe backlight bleeding and all 4 corners are extremely and annoying red light.Original feedback- I was looking for a 27 inch monitor with 4k,hdr,pbp and usb - C for 2 months.I ordered Lg27uk850 because it was 70% perfect . IT had everything except PBP (even on spec sheet it says) but lg confirmed it's not there also it has no swivel adjustment. This monitor has 90% every thing 4k, hdr, usb c , amde free sync and swivel.Cons:- Buttons are of very cheap quality and difficult to press and there is no onscreen software that allows you change input source setting. The only thing you can change is brightness and color settings feom widget software.- Ports at the back are low as compared to 27uk850 or pd2700u.- Speakers are the most cheap quality ones. Literally worse than a poundshop quality. So don't count that as a featureStill much better then lguk850 or pd2700u.

Ticks all the boxes for pro and semi-pro visual artists - performance, value, features.
If you can't be bothered to read the full review, here's the short version: superb contrast and colour, noticeable IPS glow in the corners if you sit too close, decent array of settings, great ergonomics, fairly useless for gaming due to lag. Overall a fantastic choice for film/video/design pros who don't want to break the bank.Full review:As a self-employed filmmaker and photographer I had been on the look out for a 32 inch 4K monitor that offered wide colour gamut, but didn't feel comfortable spending £1000+ for a Dell Premier Colour or similar. I also really wanted something with slim bezels and good ergonomics - having come from some cheapo 27 inch monitors with enormous bezels and creaky, flimsy plastic build and then spent some time working on a friend's iMac I was reminded how much build quality affects your mindset when this is a tool you use all day, every day. You want to sit in front of something well-designed that allows you to focus on your work.I was torn between this Acer, the Dell U3219Q, the now fairly old BenQ PD3200U and the HP Z32. The Dell suffered from some terrible contrast and black levels according to reviews, the BenQ was very highly reviewed (and the cheapest of the lot at £600) but its design was pretty ugly and dated and it didn't offer USB-C, and I could barely find any info online about the HP so wasn't prepared to take the risk. This Acer is also fairly hard to find reviews for but I'd seen enough positive reviews (which mentioned its superb contrast ratio in particular) to convince me to give it a go when I found a brand new model for less than £600 on eBay. Having used this for a while I can now say I'd be happy to pay the full £750 on Amazon. This monitor hits the sweet spot between performance, price, and ergonomics. Yes, it's a very small step down in sharpness from the 5K 27 inch iMac, but other 5K monitors out there are either terrible or prohibitively expensive (or just plain impractical for non-Mac users, like the LG Ultrafine). I came from 2x 1440p 27 inch monitors and have really enjoyed the switch to a single 4K 32 inch monitor - I've saved desk space and spend less time craning my neck left and right, but still have a feeling of increased screen real estate. Working in Premiere Pro I spend less time resizing and zooming the timeline because I can fit so much on screen at once, while having an enormous program viewer and plenty of space for effects and bins too. It's a pleasure to go back to a single display, particularly since the weighty build quality and smooth adjustability of this monitor mean it sits sturdily on the desk at the perfect height (no more propping monitors up on books!). I should note that I use both Windows and Mac, with Windows 10 scaled to 125% and MacOS scaled to a similar level. You can use 100% scaling to give an even greater impression of screen size, but you may find yourself straining to pick out small details and moving your wrist a long way to get the mouse from one corner of the screen to another. In terms of colour and contrast, the rich, deep blacks give an impression of working on a professional tool rather than just a functional display. I had come from glossy displays and was slightly worried the matte coating on this monitor would give more of a 'milky' impression to the blacks, but I was glad to be proved wrong on that. As to be expected on any IPS monitor, there is a little glow in the corners which becomes more pronounced the closer you sit. Out of the box the monitor was set to sRGB which actually felt a little dull - I've switched to the 'Standard' picture style and set the Black Boost to 0, brightness to around 75% (100% is extremely bright!) and turned the added sharpening setting off, all of which provide (to my eyes) a display that is rich and punchy while also remaining accurate and realistic - very much like an iMac. Combined with the thin bezels, the vibrancy of this display really makes your photos and videos feel more real, like you're looking directly at your work rather than at a screen. Everything feels more engaging and immersive. It goes without saying that this monitor is not designed for gaming. While games look good in 4K and with such accurate colours, the response time is fairly slow and even as a non-serious gamer I found the lag slightly noticeable. Not enough to ruin the experience for a casual gamer, but if you're a competitive FPS player this obviously isn't for you.Overall, I am extremely impressed with this monitor. The jump to 4K from 1440p was always going to be impressive, but coming from cheaper displays it is the improvement in colour accuracy, contrast, and black depth that really stands out and makes you feel like you're more immersed in your work. One very in depth review suggested this has the best static contrast ratio of any monitor at this price point and I can believe it. This is the first time I've bought a monitor and not felt the need to calibrate it - just make sure you put in a few minutes choosing the right settings to get it looking its best.
