Great quality camera printer and quality prints but difficult to find refills for film
I have seen cameras like this over the last few years but never really thought about them. I liked the look and size of this one and decided to try it. The look and feel of the camera printer is great, it's very nostalgic of older actual kodak cameras and something I have experienced with in the past. Pairing and setting it up wasn’t too difficult once I downloaded the app and paired it. Once everything was set up the fun began. It was exciting scrolling through my camera roll to decide what picture to try. I decided to try a personal picture of one of my pets. I was very happy with how it came out. I tried another picture of a friend and it came out great. I noticed when I tried a landscape location it was a little bit faded. This is where modern phone software can help out. I just went into photos and enhanced the picture a little bit and it came out better. It was fun to do that but I ran out of paper before I knew it. Luckily the one I got came with a refill but that also went way too fast. It’s really cool sending a picture to the printer and watching and hearing it print. It comes out great and doesn’t feel wet or like it will be stained. I now have a few pictures that I can cherish for years to come. Only real issue I had is that sometimes the app would unpair with my phone or take a little longer but it wasn’t too bad. Also compared to other companies printer cameras the film for this one seems harder to get. Yes you can order it from amazon but you lose the convenience of being able to go to a store and buy film for this. So that’s something to keep in mind if you prefer to get film refill cartridges at a store. Overall though I’m really happy with how the pictures came out and I think the quality looks great. This would definitely make a great gift and will preserve memories.

Tiny color printer for tiny color photos
The concept of this little printer is somewhat more impressive than the printer itself IMO. It’s a full color (or B&W if you want it) printer in a tiny form factor that spools photos off your iPhone or Android smart phone using the free KODAK Photo Printer app. The printer looks like an older point-and-shoot camera (sans lens, of course) and it is *very* simple to use. PROS (+) + Small, light, fits in a pocket easily. + Simple to use. Basically one button. Of course most of the activity occurs in the app on your phone. + Color quality is not bad at all. + Cranks out a little picture in about a minute. + Laminates the photo before it pushes it out. You can touch the photo right away and they assert that the lamination helps preserve the photo (fading over time is something that plagues most instant photos). + Uses the higher quality photo from a smart phone rather than from the device itself. Such small size cameras/printers have small fixed focus lenses that do not produce a high quality photo as a rule. + The app has some minimal photo editing capabilities. CONS (-) - The Mini 2 prints pictures that are about 2” x 4”. That’s pretty small—about credit card size. - Tends to crop photos. At least it does from my iPhone though you can adjust in the app using a very basic photo editing capability. But don’t expect a full edge-to-edge landscape. - The app has some minimal photo editing capabilities. Didn’t I just say that? A much better way to adjust the pic would be to edit the photo first on your smart phone and save it in your album before importing into the Kodak app. NOTES (o) o The replacement cartridges are quite reasonable—about $18 for 60 sheets, which runs $0.30 a print. Not bad, but they’re still tiny prints. At the time of writing, the packs are on sale reduced from about $30 so best to stock up now if you get this device. o You can order packs directly from the Kodak app. That’s a nice touch. o The printer is a “4PASS” which means it does exactly that. It “prints” four times (including the lamination) pushing the photo out, then pulling it back in to paint the next color before finally spitting it out completely. It’s a clever system; I’m guessing it shares some of its heritage with the Polaroid systems—there’s no “ink” in the printer, it is all in the photo paper. Interesting technology. SUMMARY Cute idea. But I have to say: who would need it? Who would use it? For what? I guess if you’re in need of wallet-sized photos while you are traveling, it would have some value. But you can get an inkjet printer that will print from a smartphone and do it any size you want (up to 8.5 x 11) on photo quality paper. And such printers are not that much more than the cost of this little thing though, of course, they are not so portable, certainly not pocket-sized. So as nifty as this is, I don’t see a big market for it. But if you do need quick turnaround of small color photos while on the move, it’s not a bad choice. And it is cute. PS. Kodak does make a 4”x4” version of this device that—obviously—produces a larger, more usable photo.

Easy set up!
This is such a fun little printer! I had no problems setting it up, and the print quality is fantastic. Perfect gift for teens who aren't used to being able to hold physical photos in their hands . The portability feature is especially cool.

Excellente qualité de fabrication de des images
Une qualité au top. Les photos sont petites mais très belles. Une étoile en moins car aucune instruction pour le recyclage des cartouches d'impression.
