It’s really just the same it’s easy to sand to good filler

In my opinion, this would be absolutely perfect for what you are doing. Not sure what area it will cover though

This product is a fine finishing filler, to be used as a final thin coat prior to sanding. Standard joint filler is normally used prior to this product.

Q: Is this the product that Plasterers call 'velvet'?

Don’t know, but it is a very good product and easy to put on. I used it for repairing shallow (about 1 to 2 mm deep x 50mm wide )indents up a wall and across a ceiling.
