I'm really happy with the quality of the materials and the workmanship of this retractable leash the recoil is strong and smooth and can be easily controlled with the push button brake and release. We just adopted a smaller breed puppy and wanted to leash train him quickly with this 16 ft leash we can train him on a short leash while lengthening his lead as he learns and grows without having to buy several leashes. The hard plastic shell the leash stored in is strong and tough the handle is comfortable to hold and the push button is perfectly located on top of the handle another great feature is the small plastic dog bone shaped poo bag holder that can be attached to the leash housing with the clip that's included the holder can be refilled with the rolls of bags that can be bought almost anywhere the clip that hooks onto the pets collar is strong and closes fully so our puppy can't get it undone even when he chews on it the overall size of the leash makes it easy to store and carry in a vehicle or the small treat and train bag we carry for the puppy.

I normally don't write reviews, but I feel the need to warn others away from this leash, especially because I had bought it on account of all the positive reviews. I thought that the ribbon leash would make it stronger than a cord leash. However, as other reviewers have previously mentioned, it means that it gets stuck all the time! At first, if I pulled the leash out a little more, it would retract again. Now, after only two days of use, it is totally stuck and will neither pull out farther or retract. This was very inconvenient and dangerous, as it happened in the middle of a walk. The leash was pulled out several feet and I was left unable to reel my dog back in. Don't waste your time or money on this leash. I am sending mine back tomorrow. (Also, I didn't buy the leash for the bags, but I thought these were low quality too. They are hard to tear apart, and the first bag I attempted to use had a large hole in it.)

I had bought this leash previously for my large dog and since I liked it so much, I bought another one for my medium size dog. The main reason I bought this leash in the first place was because it came with the poop bag dispenser, but the second time I bought it, the poop bag dispenser broke off while I was tearing off a poop bag. The leash itself still works fine, but like I said, the main reason I got it was because of the poop bag dispenser and now I don't have one anymore since it broke off.

I am in love with this leash! Some of my favorite features...the handle is nicely ergonomic and there's padding on it so it feels good on my hand and can't slip. I love the width of the cord. It feels thicker and more durable than other retractable leashes. I love that the clip rotates so that it doesn't easily get twisted. I love the little doggie bag holder. I must have misread the description because I didn't realize that bags were included. That was a nice surprise. I thought I was just supposed to stuff my own in there but it comes with a roll of bags already inside. My dog loves this leash so much. Her old leash was only 5 feet long and we fought every time we walked. She pulled hard and I would get frustrated and it hurt my hand. Now, she's able to get a little more freedom. You should have seen her this morning trying it for the first time. You could tell she was extra happy to be walking with more freedom. I'm really glad we got this for her.

I purchased this dog leash a year and a half ago and it has held up well, which is more than I can say for other retractable leashes that we have used previously. However, the ergonomics are awkward. Rather than a push button to lock the leash, it is a lever that you slide. That, combined with the fact the lever is an awkward distance from your thumb when gripping the handle makes it difficult to lock the leash especially quickly when your dog is pulling. Overall, I find this leash very annoying and when it breaks I will not get it again, but until then it does its job.

I have a larger dog that pulls very hard and it is sometimes hard to control him with this type of leash. The baggie holder also broke off immediately.

Bought this to replace the expensive one I bought at a pet store. I have a very energetic blue heeler pup that was able to destroy the spring and the cord in the name brand version. This one seems to be very well made with a stronger spring and leash. It operates differently (you push the button forward to lock the leash) but after using it a few times I actually think it is simple to use. One button. Push it forward to lock, back to unlock.

I bought this to replace my dog's old retractable leash. There is a design flaw that causes the leash to become stuck constantly -- at least once every 60 seconds -- causing the leash to become stuck at whatever length it's currently at. Sometimes, it gets stuck so badly that I have to jam by house key inside of it to fix it, which usually takes about 2-3 minutes. The leash getting stuck makes it very difficult to control your dog, which is very dangerous when walking near traffic, around other dogs, etc.
