A very good sharpener for 2. Lead in mechanical pencil. There are a few on Amazon that are not very good. They don’t break easily. They are true to their tonal value.

For function, by which I mean a good point on the lead and containing the shavings, this is a solid 4-star product. They're big enough to handle easily, small enough to make barely a dent in your kit.However, you can't replace the blades, which means that when they eventually get dull, you'll have to throw the entire thing into the pile of plastic waste that's decimating our planet.I'm on the fence: four stars for function, or two stars for Yet More Trash? I settled on three stars as a compromise.

Over the years I have used many mechanical pencils in my work. I have had the Steadtler sharpener (good for desk work, but bulky in your pocket). In high school (almost 40 years ago), we used sandpaper blocks (very messy, the fine graphite particles got everywhere).
