does this pot work on regular camping stoves?

Yes. My Boy Scout troop and I have used this on both the MSR Whisperlite backpacking stove and the classic Coleman propane stove. The pot worked fine and if anything I think it boiled the water faster than usual on the Coleman stove. The only issue with had was when the flames on the backpacking stove was a little high and blackened the handles on the side but that was more of an user error than a fault of the pot.

This is ridiculously expensive. Is there another Chinese pot that doubles as a storage for the genesis stove?

This is the only pot of this size associated with the Genesis unit.

I know half gen fits inside but will this pot fit inside case for halfgen?

Hello, Thank you reaching out with your inquiry. This pot will not fir into the halfgen carrier bag. Please feel free to contact us and we can assist with a bag that will fit. Johnson Outdoors-Eureka and Jetboil Hours: 8:00am-4:30 pm EST Mon-Fri. Reach us at:

Can i use this pot on top of msr pocket rocket 2?

No. This pot would be way too big. You should look at the 1.5 L pot. The 5 L is too big.
