Better than the Name Brands
I’ve had a lululemon mat that I have used for almost 13 years. (I go to hot vinyasa yoga 5-6 times per week). It is totally shot, weighs a TON, and I’ve been looking for a new mat for a while but I keep using it because nothing even comes close to how well it performs. I bought a manduka Pro a few years ago and it was just ok—didn’t last as long as it should have for the price. I bought a Dhyana last November for $80 that said it was sweat proof and slip proof but felt like it had been coated in baby powder. I used it about 8 weeks and went back to my lulu mat. When I found this mat and read the review I was intrigued and hopeful. For what I’d call a “non name” brand it’s a bit pricey though, but I actually own a few pairs of Iugas yoga pants and love them so I decided to try the mat. For the record I could have easily bought another lulu mat, but I didn’t for two reasons: 1) I hate the current selection of colors/the wave pattern; and 2) I wanted to see if it was possible to get a high quality mat without the brand name.I used it today for the first time and here is my review:It’s incredible!!!! No smell whatsoever. None!!! The color is gorgeous. The mat is SUPER grippy. Super sweat resistant. Just the right size. No stains, pulls, or scuffs after a 75 minute practice. And best of all it weighs almost nothing!!!I will update in a few months to report on wear and tear, but so far sooooooo good!!!!!

Love it
Pretty great value yoga mat. My last one got destroyed by my cat using it as a scratch pad… so I decided to get a different material mat and so far I’m loving it. I haven’t been able to test the absorption yet but it’s not as slippery as I thought it would be. The color is also cute. Thick enough for any movement. I love that it CD m comes with a strap for easy transport.

Perfect for Hot Yoga
I bought my first mat in Dec 2019 and just replaced it with a second one in July of 2024, so it lasted 5 years and 7 months even when I didn’t realize you are not supposed to clean with Lysol wipes and other harsh cleaners, or else I probably would have lasted even longer! Great durability for price. The strap on my new one is much better, it holds in place. The mat itself is light as well.I use this for hot yoga usually 98F degrees and up and I don’t use a yoga towel. No slippage of hands or feet!I like this mat because it is thick enough for my knees, but not too thick to where your balance is affected.Looks/feels very similar to Lululemon mats.

Great for non-slip practice!
I purchased this mat after dealing with a slippery surface mat for a few years. I was specifically looking for a mat that was reviewed as being non-slip, and under $100. This mat was a steal at $41! It's cushioned enough to use on a hard floor, and also comes with a nice sturdy strap. The only complaint I have - and really this may just take some getting used to - is the texture is a little weird at first. It's not bad, just kind of rubbery. Also, I've been using for about a week now, and the "new mat" smell is still there. Hopefully that will go away soon, and I'll get used to the grippy feel. I will take it though, over my hands constantly slipping in down dog!

4 years later…
Still the best yoga mat. TRULY nonslip, which I have not found for any other mat. Comfortable, not cumbersome, rolls well, no rips or tears. After 4 years of use the most it has are some scuffs on the surface. Will definitely buy again when the time comes.

Light as a feather and sticky to boot! Updated!
I have been debating about what mat to get for months!!! I hate to shell out a bunch of coin and then not know if I’m going to love the mat.I’m a new yogi. I’ve been practicing a little over a year. I do yoga at a studio and at a gym. Hot and unheated. For unheated yoga this mat is fantastic!!! It grips so well. It’s long and wide and just gorgeous.I haven’t tried it for heated, but I spilled a little water on it and it was kind of slippery. I would use a towel for hot yoga anyway since I sweat so much. Seriously cooking butt soup in my leggings at every hot practice. I know you’re jealous. But that’s neither here nor there! Let’s get back to the mat...I got the blue marble and it’s lovely. I often have make up remnants on when I practice and it leaves a smudge during child’s and some other poses. Wipes right off!!! Don’t even have to use spray, just a towel and it cleans right off.Does smell a little rubbery, but it’s not strong and it gets better with each use. I’ve been using about 5 times a week for 3 weeks. This mat is so light!!! My old mat weighed a ton. This thing weighs way less than a bag of sugar! The strap is a nice addition but I don’t love it. I’ll get something else eventually.Don’t wait. You are going to be so happy you bought this mat—at half the price of some of those other brands!8/13/20My original post was obviously gushing over this mat. Years later and you bet, I still love it! I just purchased another. This time in the navy blue. The lighter blue marble did eventually show marks from my hands and feet that wouldn’t wash off. Strictly cosmetic. I have used the mat for hot yoga—and without a towel—and it’s fantastic! But I do have to remember to spread it out so it can dry after as it does hold the sweat. I still stand behind my review. Order this mat. Life is so yucky right now. You can at least count on this being a great mat and you’ll be that much closer to a deep breath and a little sanity. Namaste.
