I was buying this from the dollar store. It hen I found out they import theirs from Mexico. Now I only buy American and it works great. Not gritty and leaves my teeth feeling fresh. Yes it does removes stains as well.

Tried the 3d gel this time, will switch back to the paste next time. Just doesn't appear as effective for whitening and doesn't leave my mouth feeling as refreshed as the paste.
