The first one didn’t work. The lights were so dim that it was impossible to tell if they were on unless you were in a darkened room. However, I am going to reorder to try again.The second try works well, even disposing of tiny flies too small to contact the high voltage grille. Other reviewers are right. The sudden crack of the unit operating can give the unwary a fright.

Useless dont bother, looks good but uv is so dim does not attract anything, flys even sit on it to rest!!

Did what it said on the tine but not effective due to small size*, especially for larger flies..* My fault, I didn't check dimensions - assumed it was the same size as my old one.

Really does the job. Ease of use. Simple connect to the power and start working straight away. It’s been hanging on the wall in kitchen for a while, I could not see anymore flying insects surrounding . Highly recommended :-)
