I’ve been using the NEEWER 90cm Parabolic Softbox Bowens Mount as part of my lighting setup for video and it’s been a really solid addition. The first thing I noticed is how easy it is to set up compared to older softboxes. If you’ve used the traditional ones with rods, you’ll know how annoying those can be. This one opens up quickly and doesn’t feel like a struggle every time you need to use it. Build quality is actually better than I expected for the price. The materials feel solid, nothing flimsy, and once it’s set up it holds its shape properly. It doesn’t feel like something you need to be careful with all the time. The light it produces is clean and soft. I’ve been using it mainly for talking head videos and it gives a nice even spread without harsh shadows. With the diffusers on, it softens things nicely, and the grid helps control spill when you need it. I also like that it comes as a complete kit. You get the diffusers, grid, and a bag, so you’re not buying extras separately. It makes it easier if you’re setting up a proper lighting setup without overthinking it. One small thing is the first time opening it, it can feel a bit stiff, almost like you’re doing something wrong, but once you get used to it, it’s straightforward. After using it for a while, it’s one of those pieces of gear I just set up and leave in place. It does what it’s supposed to do without needing constant adjustment, which is exactly what you want from lighting gear.

Neewer macht hier alles richtig. Waabengitter, zwei Diffusor-Tücher, alles zusammen macht dieser Lichtformer alles so wie ich es mir wünsche. Auch der Ausklappmechanismus ist angenehm zu bedienen und es geht schnell. Ich nehme diesen Schirm als Standardgepäck immer mit, wenn ich unterwegs Porträts zu machen habe.

This is an easy to set up and use light, it packs up again real easy and tight ie easy to carry. I do a lot off spontaneous portrait type work, the rig is great, has diffuser and grid

I'm on a lot of zoom meetings, so I wanted to set up really good lighting. I use this with a Amaran LED Bowens-mount continuous light and it works great. I just set it up, and have been using it for a couple of years. The best thing I can say about it is that I never have to fiddle with it.
