If you can grab it on sale, DO it
so last night i swapped out my omen 27qs 240 hz monitor for this beauty, and it did NOT disappoint. got it on sale for 800 and this is the best monitor ive ever owned, the colors are amazing, brightness is adjustable and very bright. the quality of the monitor itself feels premium and assembly literally took like 15 seconds. the refresh rate on this thing for the resolution and its size is awesome. its HUD/settings offer really good customization and it’s easy to navigate.i see many people saying the curvature is aggressive, and to that i say you arent wrong, but that doesn’t have to be a bad thing. it’s just not for everyone. gaming has been awesome on it, it’s so immersive. words can be a bit hard to read and i did encounter a little confusion regarding HDR but ultimately didn’t delve into it as it didn’t matter for me. if your main focus is productivity this probably isn’t the monitor for you, a 30 inch would sufficient.

So Good I Bought Two
This is my first OLED monitor, but not my first OLED display. I've had the tech on phones and tablets, so I know how cool it can be, but that did not prepare me for this. WOW.Let me just say, I've been ruined. I already had a 34" 1440p IPS ultrawide that I replaced with this, and then was using that old ultrawide as a second monitor, but I had to buy another one of these because it's hard to look at normal LCD screens now. They just look so bad.The contrast is incredible, the colors are great, HDR is great in games (looks a little weird in windows, but this is a complaint I've heard from many people about many monitors).244hz may be more refresh than most need for most games, but lemme tell you 250fps in Deep Rock Galactic on an OLED with HDR enabled is a PEAK experience. The ONE complaint I have about this monitor relates to using it with a console like the switch or PS5. So you can have it display a 16:9 27" image in the center of the screen, which works fine and looks great. The problem is, unlike my old ultrawide, it does not do this by default. By default it stretches the image which is insane. You have to open the monitor menu and go to aspect control and switch it to 16:9, and this setting PERSISTS between inputs. So when I want to switch back to displayport for my PC I have to also change the aspect control back to 21:9. All of which is more annoying than it needed to be. Just save all of my last used settings per input source, please? For me that's a minor nitpick, as I only use consoles for exclusives I can't get on PC, for others that might be a dealbreaker, so I figured it was worth mentioning.

Stop and read
I spent roughly 50 hours, researching the best OLED monitors on the market. This is the king, like dollar for dollar if you want the absolute best thing on the current market. It has 240 hz 5k graphics with a perfect curve. OLED screen, newest technology to prevent burn in and or dead pixels. Like 100% if your ok with dropping the cash, you won't need a different monitor for years. Also for those who dislike Matt finish. Don't let that be your choosing factor, I was a little nervous at first with whites and such but this monitor gets so bright it don't matter and I dont always play in the dark so not having bad reflections mid day is rather nice. My only con is certain games don't play well like league of legends. Mostly to there being to much info. Also your gonna want a decent tower. Like I wouldn't buy this if your on console or got an older set up. I'd say something that at least pushes a 3060. Lots of pixels, 5k resolution. For myself Im running the 4080 super. But bare min a 3060Side note: Awesome monitor with the best bells and whistles. I know people looking at these types of monitors are also looking at MSI and Alienware gen 3 oleds and this one is king. If your a moba heavy player go with the MSI. If youe between this and Alienware. This is easily better, hands down. Mostly because if has better tech to keep your screen lasting longer.

Beautiful display, but monitor is COMPLETE JUNK. DON’T BUY!
I purchased the ROG Swift PG34WCDM less than a month ago and ran into an issue where when the monitor awakes from standby mode, the monitor completely shut off and won’t power back on. I had the proximity/screen standby mode on, next morning when I went to my computer the monitor tried to wake up (it flashed the desktop image for a second), but then the monitor powered off and I tried all suggestions from online posts to power back on the monitor but nothing worked. Asus support was worthless asking to send it to them for repair. I had thrown the box away so I purchased a new same monitor from Amazon and returned the first one in that box. I noticed the 2nd monitor’s serial number was the next in line from the 1st monitor. The display when it worked was fantastic, however I had so many issues with the OSD, KVM/USB functionality that it’s clear to me that although the display is nice when it worked, the monitor is complete junk. I have lost all confidence in Asus monitors and won’t purchase another monitor from them. Now since I don’t have a box to return my 2nd monitor because of the same issues, I have to buy a box and bubble wrap to return this back to Amazon today….32 bucks and more time down the drain. I spent countless hours just trying to get the monitor to work correctly with the KVM for the few days it worked (updated firmware did absolutely nothing, all new certified cables, factory resets, power cycling…nothing). Asking for a premium ultrawide 240hz display with built in KVM just isn’t a viable solution yet right now, although for anyone planning to buy this monitor be forewarned. I wouldn’t trust the reliability. I’ve ordered the LG 34GS95E today even though it doesn’t have USB-C or KVM functionality, at this point I just want reliability. It’s also 200 bucks cheaper than the ROG Swift PG34WCDM as of today. Hope this helps.
