How do you repair the material? I have two tiny holes in mine

You cannnot repair it. As of today, Katadyn does not offer any replacement flasks for the BeFree products. But you don't have to do without a new bottle or even dispose of your filter cartridge. In order to be sure that the thread is really compatible with the BeFree EZ-Clean membrane, it makes most sense to purchase a new flask directly from our supplier Hydrapak.

I want to use it in case of a water cut-off. Do you think it can filter rainwater in Waterbutt?

Yes, the BeFree also filters rainwater, as well as all other surface water.
