These snap together quite well, though the supplied double-sided tape lets silicone mixture leak out. My solution is to paint the bottom with rubber cement and press it to a dedicated plastic base while glue is wet. My base is 1/8" styrene sheet. Let glue dry for 30 minutes before pouring silicone mixture. I actually use rubber cement to glue lettering to one panel before assembly so that my molds have engraved labels for what they are.

No longer needed is the use of plastic bricks or tedious wooden mold boxes. This ingenious kit can be configured to meet most of your mold making needs. If you need a larger mold box just by 2 of these kits. The use of the bulldog clips is really novel and works better than rubber bands to keep the mold material from leaking out. Of course, this is designed for use with liquid mold making materials. The design comes with interlocking locator structures that also helps prevent leakage. I highly recommend using this product if you make your own silicone square or rectangle molds at home.

First thing- the white tape that is used to seal the joints- straight in the trash. Dont use it. The tape separates and the sticky backing stays on the block and is a pain to remove. Next- while the kit is easy to assemble, the problem is a baseplate. I hot glued the frame t o aluminum foil. Using duct tape or some other tape to a sturdier base would be wise. I will be switching to interlocking blocks in order to save silicon resin for odd shapes. I wouldn't say theres anything "wrong" with this kit, but its not cure all.

I have never made a mold of any thing before and this was extremely easy. The side pieces linked together very snugly I did not have to worry about it leaking through. There were also no seams made along the side of the final mold, however I am not sure that would have really made a difference to the overall mold as it would have been on the outside of the mold itself. Pretty cool that it did not stick to the mold material either which made it super easy to keep clean and store for the next use.

I do not write reviews, ever. This product is terrible. The unit does not come with a base plate and the instructions indicate, the base is critical. I 3D printed a PETG base and used hot glue to attach. It leaked like a seive, wasted $24 of silicon. The manufacturer should provide information on proper base and how to adhere. The provide double stick tape, but no instructions on what you should do with the tape.

It's good for adjustability but it does leak. It's not very hot glue friendly, I'm struggling to scrape the glue from the outside of the cracks and base where i had to seal it up. Still leaked a little through that so i had to add seal to one post but without the glue it absolutely leaks from each crack and the base just fyi. Im glad i read the reviews mentioning leak because if i didn't seal it up like i did that would've been a big mess. You can find the file to 3d print this as well online. The design seems logical but it needs to be fine tuned for holding in liquids - the clips do little to nothing about that. They just help to keep the walls in place. Needs gaskets or something

Awesome kit! Very flexible in making different configurations of molds. I highly recommend this kit. If I were to find any complaint is that there is no bottom included in the kit. Understandable because of the potential sizes or configurations. I bought a low cost one-foot square piece of plexiglass to serve as a bottom. The best tool in my art box for making molds.

Was amazingly easy for me to fit together and use. I had no leaks! I will purchase more for larger or taller molds. Very sturdy! Highly recommend! Thank you!

First moulding container I have bought for school. Better than the others as pieces fit very well together. We now have a second kit of these. No leaks from the sides at all. Had a leak from the bottom when one pupil didn't make the double-sided tape stretch from corner to corner on each side. Silicone fortunately stopped. So our fault. These seem to be very versatile and having two packs adds a lot to what can be accomplished. As we have done 2-part moulds, being able to make the sides up again to support the silicon moulds is an added extra. SAnd silone easily comes away from the walls after curing. I would recommend for beginners.

It’s been about 20 minutes since pouring, no sign of leakage from any sections. Works best with sulfurless polymer clay at the bottom and around the object. Had my doubts but it works :)

This works really well and was great value for money. Can be tricky to join together. Haven’t had any leakage. Worked a treat

This kit works adequately, but could be improved upon. When I clamp the pieces together, the interior seam separates a little giving a ridge to the finished product. It would be nice if, when joining two pieces they stuck together better. But my biggest problem with this kit is that there are only the one sized blocks. For me, this results in a mold that is thin on two opposite sides and almost a half-inch on the other two opposite sides. Or I add in another set of blocks and waste a lot of silicone to fill the larger mold. Providing some half-width blocks would go a long way to making this set more versatile. I have gone back to gluing wood strips down to make my castings an appropriate size without wasting any silicone in the process.
