Interesting read!
My daughter requested this book and our whole family enjoyed reading it. If you are into detective or crime scene shows, you will like reading about the history and advancements in sciences involved in solving a crime.

Title: "Fascinating and Accessible Read on Forensic Science: Blood, Bullets and Bones"
"Blood, Bullets and Bones" by Bridget Heos is an engaging book that explores the science behind forensic investigations. It's a great option for anyone interested in forensics or true crime, regardless of their level of scientific knowledge. The author breaks down complex concepts in a way that is easy to understand, using real-life examples and case studies. The book provides an overview of the field, inspiring further exploration. However, if you're looking for a deep dive into the specifics of forensic science, this may not be the book for you.

The Scarlet Thread of Crime
As a retired pathologist with personal forensic experience I found Ms Heos' book a treasure trove of information, presented in an organized and engaging manner. I write a recurring column on Forensics for a crime writers newsletter, and after reading a library copy, have purchased my own for I shall return to it often.

Accessible and engaging
Accessible and engaging account of the development of forensic science, told through a collection of interesting cases. I especially liked the account of now discredited techniques near the end. I was hoping for a bit more thorough job, but of course that might make the book less popular with the general public.

The book looked second hand and as it was ordered as a gift could not be given.
