Waterproof jacket but limited breathability
The jacket is lightweight and the fabric is flexible. Overall is is comfortable to wear. The lining is thin and so in colder weather layers of clothing will be needed underneath. I like the dark green colour that is appropriate for a country jacket. I ordered my usual size XL and it is a good fit.I was curious about the 'stormgear' and 'no-sweat' branding that has been put on this jacket given that it's listed price is a fraction what I paid for my Gore tex jacket that I use for hiking. To check this out I did some research on its waterproof and breathability ratings. Both were much lower than my expensive Gore tex coat. Having said that the waterproof rating 6000 is good. It is rated as suitable for resisting downpours rather than just showers. The breathability rating of 2000 mvp is not so good. The guides that I found recommended breathability of 5000-10000 for low output actiivties (hiking) but 10000plus for more strenuous hiking or fell running. Overall it is a good waterproof jacket but will get clammy inside if worn for more active pursuits.

Completely waterproof yet very comfortable.
I like this jacket for its ability to shrug off the recent heavy rain and strong winds. The fabric used is a cool, smooth non-woven material (made from polyurethane coated polyester) which is also lightweight and flexible. To me this jacket gives me the waterproof advantages of a waxed garment without the heavy weight and the need for re-waxing. It's machine washable at 40 degrees as well. The breathability does work well to cut down sweat and heat when I wear it in active situations. All the seams appear to be stitched and welded and the sleeves have soft woven cuffs inside to cut out draughts. I like the drawstring at waist level which does the same. The front closure is interesting: it uses a strong, smooth zip, but also steel poppers which fold the fabric over twice to prevent any water getting in.Overall, the fabric waterproof testing quoted on the product packaging shows that this jacket exceeds the standard 1500mm by four times, to 6000mm. I can say that so far it's lived up to this claim. There are no internal pockets. The two external front pockets are large and protected by flaps which overlap to keep rain out.The drawstring hood is generous and has a peak to help keep glasses dry. It folds away behind the collar with poppers to keep it folded. The collar is tall enough to stave off wind but it doesn't fasten around the chin.I won't be using this as workwear but it is excellent for hiking and city tours. The material is thin, so warm clothing underneath is essential in cold weather. For workwear use the jacket conforms to CE EN 343-2019, Class 4 Water Penetration, Class 2 Breathability 2,000 mvp.The jacket comes in a zipped bag with hanger hook for dry storage. An instruction sheet is enclosed with full details of the materials, fitting, care and technical speacifications. For under £48 I think the value for money is very good. In jet black colour it won't win many fashion awards but it does win my recommendation for an economically priced weatherproof jacket, that will give very good performance for many seasons.

Excellent quality waterproof raincoat
Disclosure. This is a review of a product I was sent for free via Vine. All opinions are my own. This is a very high quality raincoat. It seems very well made, looking at the stitching. It is a long length and has both a strong zip and poppers. I chose size S and found it very roomy, so will easily fit over your winter clothing. There are air holes under the armpits for ventilation. Two deep pockets which are covered by flaps. Soft internal wrist covers, with longer outer sleeves plus poppers if you wish to tighten the external cuff. Drawstring at base of coat. A hanging hook. There is a peaked hood also with drawstring. It certainly keeps your head dry but does partially impede sideways vision. It has a softer internal lining and is described as 100% polyester polyurethane coated tricot knit.Additionally it has been certified as PPE. Full details are provided regarding maximum wearing time at various temperatures, even upto 25degrees, although I couldn't work out what some of the parameters were in the equation. I was just happy that it kept me dry and warm.Laundry instructions indicate that it can be washed in the washing machine.I also thought it was a clever idea to package it in a bag made of the same material, so that potential customers can feel the material in advance of purchase. The quality certainly justifies the £47.99 price tag in my opinion.

High quality waterproofs
This jacket is an XL and I am a medium. It is a little loose but still fits me well and I can only assume that it will be a little tight on someone that is XL. The material is like a rubber and is not extremely thin but one layered. This makes it fairly well insulated but will need more layers inside than a regular jacket. The armpits have holes for ventilation but these are large and unmeshed as shown in the picture. If you have your hands up there is a high chance that rain will get inside the jacket. The pockets are just flaps over the slits and not closed so there could be a risk of leakage there however it sounds unlikely. If kept very crumpled than it does retain some light creases and I wouldn’t iron this so make sure it is sorted in a hanger.Particular features I like are the elasticated inner sleeve and two buttons for the sleeve to create a more tapered fit. The hood is also able to be stored away which makes this look better and is more comfortable. The hood has a lip on the end which gives you extra protection from sideways wind and is great for me to avoid water on my glasses.
