Consistent 8GB DDR3 1600MHz Desktop RAM (Memory) U-DIMM | Long-DIMM | DT PC3-1600 Single Channel Mem

I am using a 10+ year old Biostar motherboardwith old Phenom processor. I had only Win XP then and was using 2 GB RAM. Later I added another harddisk running Win 7 Pro and added a 4 GB RAm in second slot. Two years ago with no supportfor XP and 7 Pro I added another hard drive with Ubuntu. This way I could boot to any OS, because some of my old software were essential and would not run on newer operating systems . But I wanted more RAM for Ubuntu. We tried adding a 8 GB Ram i one slot and my 4 gb RAM in the other. XO was fine but 7 and Ubuntu had issues. But systems were working fine with only 8 GB card.Technican advised using single RAM card with maximum GB right now because clock speed (??) of old RAM may not be compatible with 8 GB RAM . So I bought this 8 GB RAM.This single 8GB card boosted the performance on Ubuntu since it can use the full capacity of the card. XP uses only 3.7GB from the same card because that is all it can handle. Win 7 also can handle this new RAM card. So everything is working fine.Now i am wondering if I install one more same card I will get 16GB. Ubuntu will read it but will it be able to handle it. That is the question.Right now start up and programs opening and running is much faster.No crashes or freezing screens on present configurationAt the price i paid this card is superb value for money

This RAM has not worked in any of the three systems having i3 or lower. It fits nicely in the slot but system does not switch on with this ram. Tried with other ddr3 rams and worked fine.Wish to update that this RAM has worked fine in i5 DDR3. Hope the seller can update this point while selling. Deducted one star due to this.

Well this is the best RAM it working perfectly and compatible my device and the best thing is that it at a reasonable price an it Improved my system performance as well easy to install

I had 8gb ram that was working perfectly. I wanted to upgrade to 16gb so i bought this trash. At first it worked fine. 2 days later my PC started glitching out of nowhere. So i removed this ram to check it was the problem and it was. As soon as i removed this garbage my PC was fine. Don't buy this...i cant even return

Good performance.

Better for light gaming but beast for office work and online class for students.
