Solid though not perfect
The shipping had a delay, so could take half a star off for that. However, the item is solid. Yet not perfect - the round plate is not completely flat (see in the photo), which makes it not 100% perpendicular. Going to try these to make wooden step rails. Will see how it goes.

Superior!
I ordered these black powder-coated post base brackets by YIDU69Q to repair the sagging sections of fence in my back yard. The fence is only a few years old, but the brackets that I purchased from one of the big box stores have already begun to deteriote at the base, literally cracking at the welds. Their brackets are less than half the thickness of these massive brutes (2.66mm compared to 6mm thick) and the welds are far more substantial on these. What a hugh disappointment the ones from the big box store have been! Besides the major difference in quality, their bracket is more than $25 for just one. These are less than $24 for two! Come springtime, I will be replacing ALL of them. Can't say enough good about these. They are superb and far superior!

Not the sturdiest method
Per the subject line this is not the sturdiest way to attach a post, but it's a simple install, and great if you're trying to anchor the post to concrete that has already been poured (Steps, patio etc.)
