This worked perfectly to install plus nuts in my sprinter van! It was an extremely easy fix to make installing plus nuts a breeze! Please note that you would have to order the socket head screws in the size of the plus nut you would be using, I was using 1/4-20's!

Getting the settings right on the pnuematic adjustment is a little tedious. Definitely should come with extra replacement pieces such as the bearings.

The riv-nut gun works great but the mandrels (cap screw fasteners) quality is crap! The threads and the fastener strength of the mandrels are very poor! I had to replace them with good quality fasteners so it cost me some time and extra money. It is also a good idea to have some extra mandrels on hand. One big suggestion for anyone is to use light lubricant on the mandrels to keep them from seizing on your plus-nuts and/or riv-nuts!

This rivet nut tool does NOT operate in a manner that would ensure accuracy.The tool spins to lock the rivet nut in place, and offers reverse to withdraw from the set rivet nut.However, instead of spining and pulling the rivet nut (to set), the tool spins the mandrel/screw to set the rivet nut. This method of operation ensures that the screw coupked with the mandrel bends ever so slightly after setting very few rivet nuts. The moment the screw is bent even slightly, the tool sets rivet nuts off center, sometimes well over 1/16" to a side, ensuring that whatever metal panel you plan to secure atop a pattern of rivet nuts will need the holes enlarged to accommodate the rivet nuts off-set by the constant bending (and replacement) of the screw driven by the mandrel. (I installed large flange 5/16" thin wall aluminum rivet nuts, having to redo MANY to correct what the tool offsets. And, no, using less pressure is not an option, as that resulted in a rivet nut NOT adequateky secured to the sheet metal.)Avoid this design to rivet nut setting at all costs.

Absolute CHY-NA. I used it for half a rivnut. It couldn’t pull with the low amount of torque it has. For 198 bucks it damn well should. Returned it.

Stripped threads 1st use on a Stainless Steel 1/4 inch rivet

Much easier to use than the manual type. Works great. We'll worth the money.

This tool is excellent to use but be sure to adjust the dial before you use it on the small nutserts

I purchased this item as I felt a pneumatic tool would be able to work with our stainless rivets.It can't handle them and breaks the insert every time. The heavy duty hand tool with long arms worked perfectly
