Learn all about the traditions of Ramadan with this first book in the brand-new board book series Celebrate the World, which highlights celebrations across the globe. In the ninth month of the year, when the first crescent moon rises in the sky, it’s time to celebrate Ramadan! In this lovely board book with illustrations from Rashin Kheiriyeh, readers learn that Ramadan is a time to reflect on ourselves, to be thankful, and a time to help others. Review: Buy it - It’s beautiful. Not sure why people are saying it’s wrong that Ramadan is the 9th month because IT IS the 9th month. About other “inaccuracies” because there’s a woman’s hair showing while she’s praying or the comment about eating dates then iftar… BIG DEAL. C’mon parents, it’s a kids book. Relax. For all other parents who want to introduce Ramadan to their kids in a fun colorful way, go ahead and buy it. Review: Fantastic! - I have fallen in love with Hannah Eliott’s Celebrate the World series and this addition is no exception! I love how the author introduces us the celebration with easily understandable and relatable why’s and how’s. The colorful illustrations are so cheerful and cozy. Ramadan is a time to reflect, be thankful, and help others. The values of family, gratitude, and generosity and compassion for others are values we can all relate to, no matter our religious beliefs. It’s wonderful to find that common ground.

Simple and good book
Gets the point and purpose of Ramadan across without being too preachy and confusing. Good for four years and up…

Beautiful book! Easy to read and well written primer to Ramadan.
Love, love, love this book! I read it to my son's first grade class. Its the perfect primer to Ramadan for little ones and non-Muslims alike. Succinct and beautifully written, easy to read, and lovely pictures! Highly recommended.

Gorgeous and well written
One of the best Ramadan books for kids out there, if not the best. Really well written and absolutely beautiful illustrations. It's content is probably for younger kids but even older ones could enjoy it. I will be giving to my child's kindergarten class teacher to incorporate into her lesson on Ramadan.

Definitely recommend buying this book!
I absolutely love this board book! I purchased this to gift to a non-muslim friend, with hopes to give her and her young daughter a little bit more insight into this holy month as to why I am fasting, and etc., but without showering her with too much information at once on the matter. This book is perfect to do so! I love it so much that I have even considered purchasing another!

Some errors in the book
Absolutely love the illustrations, colors and diversity but there are a few inaccuracies in the book. Error- “When the sun disappears in the evening, we gather with family and friends to break our fast. We eat a date. Then we share a meal called iftar” Breaking of the fast itself is called “iftar”, regardless of what you break your fast with : water, date... really any food or drink item... so to state that they eat a date and then have iftar cannot be true. Eating the date would be considered the “iftar” itself. Error - “we celebrate with a big feast called Eid ul Fitr, which is also called the sweet festival!” Calling it a “sweet festival” must be a cultural/specific regional reference but as per Islamic tradition, eid Ul fitr is not a “big feast or sweet festival” but rather a “festival / holiday of breaking the fast”, celebrated after a whole month of Ramadan. Page 20: there’s a picture of a man and woman praying. The woman’s hair is showing while praying. Now this might seem insignificant to some but during the 5 daily prayers, there are dress code regulations (among other things). Females hair needs to be completely covered during obligatory prayer times. It would be nice if it were depicted accurately Wish this was checked beforehand, but perhaps a newer edition can be printed with correct information. There are a few other Islamic / Ramadan related books which have innacuracies similar to this.

A Great Learning Opportunity
Entertainingly written and colorfully illustrated, this is a great opportunity for kids to welcome other traditions. I hope these authors and publisher continue showing the world what the holidays are really about.

A lovely book nothing to fault with it
This is a lovely book to teach children the basics about Ramadan and what it means to Muslims. It teaches when it is why its done and its meaning. The illustrations are fantastic and really reflect Muslim people of all walks of life and all different parts of the world from here in the west to eastern or Arab cultures. I really like this book especially for the multi cultural feel of it and I think for any Muslim child reading it they will instantly recognise themselves and that their faith is very much a part of our society. For any non Muslim child reading it they will happily understand a new culture and religion I really cant fault this.

A must-have!
I have bought most of the Ramadan books on the market but this has got to be one of my all time favourites. It is written in such a captivating yet simple way so that everyone can understand the essence and beauty of the month. I cannot recommend this book enough. Every family should have this book in their library so we can cultivate understanding between the leaders of the next generation during their formative years!

📚 BOOK REVIEW 📚 Name Of the book : RAMADAN Written By : Hannah Eliot Illustrated By : Rashin Published by : simonandschuster I purchased this Book from @amazondotin I would not Recommend this Book ... This is a Board book There are some Islamic Concerns in this book like showing Women Leading Salah... Dog in the house underneath the Table when having Suhoor... Few Characters in the Book Eating in the Left Hand... The Author is Not a Muslim , This book is published by mainstream traditional company simonandschuster they have various other festival books under the theme Celebrate the World... I am not sure if this is done By the Author with Lack of Knowledge... The words used are simple and explain a lot of the basics of Ramadan.

Empfehlenswertes Kinderbuch
