Will the summer 2018 firmware update sony announced for dolby vision kill the region free? or is this a chipped region free player?

Yes - unit plays 4K ultra hd discs . I should mention that I have been having some problems with my unit lately. It doesn’t always playback . I’ve had this problem with other players . Eventually I will purchase another unit. You may take this into consideration
