An excellent scale
I bought this for use in my home chemistry lab. I needed to be able to make mass measurements to a precision of 0.01g. I also found this scale very useful for counting small objects accurately (coins, and bottle caps for homemade beverage bottling). The scale was recommended in the book "Illustrated Guide to Home Chemistry Experiments", by Robert Bruce Thompson. It was not the cheapest scale recommended, but the extra money was worth it. It is extremely easy to use, and I have checked it against an analytical scale and accurate weights, and I am confident that it is accurate to +/- 0.01g. It has a built-in leveling bubble and leveling feet, an illuminated display, and battery/AC power. Batteries are not required if the wall pack is used. The windscreen is inexpensive plastic, but it does the job and is easy to take apart and clean.Definitely worth $99.

Choose a different scale, do not buy this.
I purchased this scale because I already owned one and it seemed to work well. Used this second one from May 2023 - December 2023. It is now January 2024 and last week this scale just randomly stopped working correctly. Once it is turned on, the reading slowly climbs and just doesn't stop. This is with nothing on the scale, and yes the scale has been calibrated numerous times. There is no interference or air movement in the room and the other identical scale is sitting right next to it with zero issues. With all of that said, I would not recommend this scale to anyone even when it is working. The 200g calibration weight never calibrates the scale to exactly 200g. No matter what, on both scales while both were working, the 200g weight would always end up weighing 196-198g. This means whatever you are weighing is always at risk of being off around .5g which is absurd for the amount of money you are paying for this scale. It should work correctly and give you an accurate reading. There are other scales on the market that will give you accurate readings and last longer. Don't waste your time/money.I have filed a warranty claim and haven't heard back from anyone. Don't really expect to so I'm leaving this review to save others the trouble.

Weigh good and fast
An excellent little scale for use in reloading activities, accurate, fast, and consistent. Easy to use with useful windshield to remove any external influence, great value for money. Instructions are clear and simple to follow, setting up is fast and easy, battery and mains power options, calibration weight supplied, a complete package.

Unable to calibrate
Purchased this balance to use in soap making. I am unable to calibrate the scale. Every time I follow the calibration procedures I get a "FAIL" display on the LCD. The balance displays the stability icon at all times EXCEPT during calibration. During calibration the stability icon flashes occasionally. I have contacted the manufacturer but have yet to hear back from them. I will be returning this one if I get no response. The balance weighs the 200g calibration weight at 185g.

nice little scale and reasonable performance at very low weights
nice little scale and reasonable performance at very low weights. Mine came with a broken power cable or plug inlet. It will not turn on with the plug "plugged in" to the back of the scale. Fortunately, it uses batteries as well.

Not reliable enough for anything below 100mg
I just received the iBALANCE 201. Whenever I want to measure a test weight of 50mg, this scale shows zero. Once I remove the weight, the scale displays -0.04g. I recalibrated the scale without improving this situation. - I expect more from a precision scale. At least it should register 50mg +/- 20mg when weights of 50mg are being measured. The scale seems to work for everything above 100mg. - For now, I give it two stars. I can still use it in the kitchen. But it is not recommended for lab work. - I asked customer support for an explanation but did not yet receive a useful reply.

Best value scale repeatably accurate to 0.01g
My wife was mixing silicone and catalyst at 10:1 ratio by volume and it was sometimes curing and sometimes not. I pointed out the instructions say to mix by weight, not volume. I plowed through reviews of $20 scales that produced inconsistent results and was afraid I'd need to spend $200+ to get any kind of accuracy. Then I found this scale and at $82 shipped, it's perfect. Comes up with the same weight when you take the item and put it back again. Sensitive enough to pick up wind blowing in the door or walking around next to it.Comes with a 200g weight and calibration instructions. Newer model has a more attractive blue screen than the green one pictured. New screen shows what unit is being displayed (gram, oz, grain, count, and one or two others) as well as a bar that fills up to show if you're near the max weight the scale can take (200g). The instructions warn you may damage the scale if you add more weight than 200g so watch that bar.My biggest complaint is that nothing in the instructions explains how to assemble the plastic box that protects the scale from wind or perhaps heavy things falling on it. The plastic parts all slide together to form a cube with a blank side that fits over the scale weighing tray. I'm good at puzzles and figuring out how things go together, but I never would have figured out how the pieces fit together without looking at a tiny picture of the assembled cube on the side of the box, and it still wasn't easy because the picture was almost too small to show the necessary details. The cube fits over a square rise in the scale so it can't slide to either side and you can slide open the walls on left or right or top to put things on the scale without letting wind hit them. Unless the room has an open door or window or a fan blowing the cube doesn't seem to be necessary, so I simply removed the cube while I weighed stuff. The scale sits in a cluttered room so I added a long velcro strap to hold the cube down over its raised square to prevent anything in the room from falling and pushing the cube against the weighing tray which could damage it.I also didn't like the auto-off feature because it doesn't count significant weight changes as activity. I almost lost track of a silicone mixture when the scale turned itself off during weighing so I turned off the auto-off feature.Another reviewer mentions you can no longer turn off the auto-stabilizing feature that holds the weight readout steady unless it detects a significant change (even 0.01g is significant to this scale). There's a little symbol on the display that looks like an eye with a line through it to indicate a stable reading. I did find it was a little slow at removing that eye and updating the weight as I added drops of fluid, sometimes stalling maybe 2 seconds before it showed the weight had changed. I found that a little annoying and the stall once led me to add a bit too much catalyst to a silicone mix. If you're using this scale constantly I can see that little annoyance building up to a big accumulated waste of time, so keep that in mind.

Exceeds Expectations.
This is the new model of the i201 with the blue LED. The scale measures up to 200 grams with a reliability of 100th of a gram... and it comes dead-on back, even when the object is lifted off and replaced or shifted, etc. It has a power cable for dependability, but will also run on 4 AA batteries. The feet can be raised or lowered to level the scale on uneven tables or counters. There is an air bubble indicator. The construction is sturdy. It comes with a calibrating weight and calibration is quickly and easily performed. When I got mine, the weighing platform was wobbly and readings differed, depending on where I placed the object to be weighed. I most gently turned it clockwise until it came to a stop, without tightening it, as with a screw, and now it weighs exactly and equally, no matter where on the platform the object is placed. It has a tare function for zeroing empty containers. I followed the assembly instructions for the wind screen and thought I had made a mistake, but I hadn't. It appears to be necessary to slightly bow the last 3 panels to allow the stop tabs to pass over the frame. I have not had occasion to use it and, with the accuracy of the scale, I don't expect to. It might be useful for weighing light powders, as for reloading, etc. I only shoot .22 calibre, so I haven't gotten into reloading. I am using the scale for measuring oils for perfumery. It exceeds my expectations and I am very pleased with my purchase.

Not bad for 10s of miligrams precision
Great idea in terms of the scale’s sensitivity but the implementation is poor. In fact, it is not much useful if you need one miligram precision. It does a good job weighting 10s of miligrams. The top box is rather flimsy and not practical. Overall, the product feels cheap.
