Inexpensive solution for quick hanging use
I needed to hang a couple things around the house and this was an inexpensive solution to do so. Everything I was hanging was less than 5 pounds or so but these did the job well. Easy install into dry wall

A Well Designed and Easy To Install Product. Thank You!
The 112 degree shower head extension positions our new rainfall shower head perfectly in the shower (as can be seen in the photo): it is the right overhead height and distance from the wall. This was mated to a 45 degree threaded shower tube stub-out and results in tilting the extension arm up at a 23 degree angle to the horizontal. I found that the 135 degree extension, which positions the shower arm horizontally or 0 degrees, did not provide sufficient head clearance. Installation was also easy and leak free. The fitting is sturdy and made of quality materials. The screw collar allows you to tighten and seal the connection without rotating the extension arm out of the correct position, which is critical. The neoprene washer is also encapsulated in the fitting in a way to perfectly seal to the shower stub out. Other products that I tried would simply not seal to my shower stub-out tube; the washer would ride up into the tube upon tightening and break the seal. These designs also do not easily allow you to position the extension arm correctly while also ensuring a tight joint. I can’t say enough good things about this product… on top of it all, the manufacturer thoughtfully provides teflon tape, a wrench that fits perfectly, and two additional washers for slightly different shower tube ends.

Does its job
It holds my bag, and does its job. I use it both ways, and I like how the teeth portion is grippy. I have the lizard one and wish the eye was colored darker.

Just what I wasn't looking for...what a happy accident.
I had overtightened the three way diverter that came with my rainfall shower head https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B081372BKK/ref=ox_sc_saved_title_5?smid=AFT70DPQOL0J1&psc=1 and it was leaking so I was looking for one to replace that when I stumbled upon this handy little item. I had been wanting to extend the rainfall shower head for a while and this seemed perfect. I received the item today and had it installed in no time. I installed the 3 way adapter and then simply screwed this into that. I was able to attach the adjustable pipe that came with the shower head, to this pipe as well. Between the two, the rainfall shower is now in the center of the tub where it belongs, instead of the front of the tub. This is very sturdy and holds the shower head better than the origin pipe combo. The showerhead is still adjustable and can be lowered, raised and rotated, because I am using two pipes. I also appear to have more water pressure with the new 3 way diverter and this pipe than I did with the original showerhead/sprayer combo. I will be ordering another for our second bathroom shower now that I know this works and the quality is excellent.

There is a better way
This extender is suitable for using a rain shower head on an existing bent pipe as is common in most bath shower tubs. It raises the final height of most flat heads so you don’t hit your head on it, and extends it out more toward the center of the tub by just over a foot so you can experience the water slowing down on you, not spraying you from the front.WHAT IT ISThere is nothing unique about this pipe, but you would think as useful as it is there would be hundreds of places selling them. There are not, in fact this is the one and only pipe of this design I could find anywhere. And I’ll bet the sellers know it because twenty bucks seems like a lot to pay for what it is. Yes this is a very useful product and there are countless other things intended to do a similar job. They all have some sort of adjustable arm that has tightening knobs at one but usually two places. The advantage of that design is that you can raise and lower the shower head but the downsides far outweigh those benefits for most of them can’t hold the adjustment without starting to slip, and if you have an all steel large rain head they are almost guaranteed to slip. They also leak at the fittings and because of their design they all have a significant reduction in water flow, by as much as half.DESIGNThis design is basically all open pipe that’s been bent in an S shape and fitted with an adapter that lets you attach it to the pipe that’s already coming out of your wall. Because it is all just a bent pipe there are no joints to restrict the flow of water, leak or slip. The entire assembly is made up of several parts that are intended to stay together, it is not one piece as some have said. That is the unfortunate weakness of it, any time there are more parts involved there is more opportunity for something to go wrong. The bottom line is that they don’t say how much torque can be applied to the connectors before they snap, and if you’re the person standing under a heavy shower head, that’s important to know. Just knowing how heavy of a head you can put on it isn’t enough. From what I can see they use a fairly substantial brass nut inside to connect the pieces together. That nut has a hole in it that does reduce the water flow but by how much is a mystery, that’s another thing they don’t tell you.WHAT YOU GETYou get the arm, a one time use fastener wrench, some pipe tape and a rubber washer. Unfortunately they only show one photo of the thing and they have it covered in dulling spray. The actual unit is very bright shiny chrome and looks very nicely finished. Be careful using the cheap wrench to attach it, I would suggest a crescent wrench with a soft piece of cloth to protect the finish while installing it, which takes a total of about five minutes.A BETTER WAYThe inherent flaw of this product has nothing to do with their design, which I think is really good, but the whole idea of attaching it to the existing pipe coming out of the wall. Trying to adapt several angles to end up with what you need will put a strain on everything under the best of conditions. The best way is to attach to the pipe behind the wall. In older construction that was pretty easy because they used iron or copper pipes which were fastened to a stud behind the wall. These days, like in my hope, it’s just a solitary piece of unsupported PVC pipe and the feed pipe into the bathtub is hot welded to it. So I don’t have the option of pulling the short feed pipe out and doing it properlyBUYING SUSSGESTIONBecause I couldn’t find another product like this anywhere I have to say it has to earn kudos for even existing. After it is installed it looks nice and is about as strong as it’s going to get. There are just a few things that keep it for being considered best. One is that the flow restrictor could be designed with a larger hole I think. Of course there’s no way to remove it because that’s what keeps the whole thing together. Next is that while the treads at the end where you attach the shower head are adequate I believe the ones where you attach it to the wall pipe are too shallow, I’m concerned that with all that weight there may not be enough thread. And of course the twenty buck price seems to be a lot, but I’m not saying it’s a bad product, just know what you are getting yourself into.

Well-made. Wish it was longer.
This shower extension is well-made. It came with plumbers tape and a crappy wrench tool to install it. Installation took 5 minutes and was easy, because I used my own tools. After a few weeks of use, I have experience no leaks. I wish it came in a longer size (16-20 inches), because I would buy another one for another shower in my house.I bought this to replace a "Danze D481170 Curved Adjustable Showerarm, 13-Inch", which leaked at both folding joints. This shower extension is made much better than the Danze showerarm and it is 1/4th the price. Other benefits compared to Danze:- I don't have to worry about my waterfall shower head falling on my head due to one of Danze adjustable clamps failing.- This has better water pressure than the Danze

Hamgers
Standard hangers of this type. Nothing really different about them. No problems and did the job well. A big thing is the convenience of Amazon to be honest

Easy install
I added a extra large rain shower head. This is simple and very sturdy. It was exactly what we need for our shower head.
