The unit itself is wobbly, I was afraid to use it at first as it didn't seem to be stable enough to help me climb stairs. It worked fine once I got the hang of it, I should have shopped around more, the price is steep for such a cheaply made piece of safety equipment, I was able to purchase a walker with wheels, seat and brakes for almost half the price!

This is a great, simple solution for making steps easier to climb. It is cheaply made but costs a lot for the materials used.

It is not very sturdy. I would have returned it if I still had the packaging.

The seller was fantastic in their customer response and the cane has been of great assistance for my Mom. She is able to walk up and down the stairs in a better manner than before.

I have arthritis in my knees and going up my 13 steep stairs was taking it's toll and bothering my hip. This device has made a huge difference. You're not going to zoom up the stairs, but if done slowly and paying attention it gets you up with much less strain on your joints. I'm very glad I bought it. The only thing that I think needs attention is that the screw that holds the cane in does come loose constantly. I solve that by keeping a screwdriver out and every time I go up the stairs I tighten the screw. I do not use this device to go down the stairs as my railing is not on the correct side and I don't feel safe. My railing going down is enough and going down doesn't hurt my joints. I think it's a good investment in staying independent.
