ESR 1 Pack Paper-Feel Magnetic Screen Protector for iPad A16 11th/10th

Okay, I had my doubts about this, but let me just say: SPEND THE EXTRA MONEY AND GET THIS PROTECTOR! I draw on my iPad constantly, and I’ve installed more screen protectors than I can even count over the years, and this is a GODSEND. It was super easy to install in the sense that I didn’t struggle with getting it lined up properly, and the kit it came with to aid in the process was nice. The instructions were clear and written in a way that you could understand if you’re inexperienced. It has protected my screen from scratches and sticky toddler fingers! It was easy to clean off and I appreciate how thick it is, it’s definitely thicker than any other paper feel protector I’ve tried. When it comes to bubble removal, a tip for it is to use the squeegee as you install it, gently pushing as you place it, and that really helps eliminate them. But, if you’re not experienced in doing that, and you end up with a few bubbles that don’t seem to leave with each push, you can lift it a bit (something you can’t/shouldn’t do with regular protectors because of the glue) and get them out again. The durability has been great so far, I use an Apple Pencil 1st gen and barely changed tips before using this screen protector, and it hasn’t damaged the tip too much, it’s a smooth surface, not too grainy, and it really does feel like paper. The stroke marks can be brushed off somewhat easily if you get too many, and it overall really feels like an excellent quality screen. I am so happy with this magnetic style, and I will never go back to a traditional version of the paper feel after being pampered with the magnetic.

The ESR Paper-Feel Magnetic screen protector is the only screen protector that I have ever put on my iPad 10th gen, without getting bubbles under the protector. It stays put when I write, and I think I actually write better with it. It is a little thicker than other ‘paper-like’ protectors, so it helps me to slow down when I’m writing, and my block printing is neater and straighter because of it. I never would have found this screen protector if it did not pop up when I was looking at other products on Amazon, so I’m actually grateful to Amazon for adding it to my product feed. It is easy to take off and put back on too…and I do not have any issues with the touch screen when it is on my iPad. I did not find any issue with screen clarity or cleaning the protector itself. I do recommend it!

I bought this simply b/c I like a matte finish on my iPad, but, I don't like how the clarity is usually diminished. I usually just deal with it as a compromise. So, with the possibility of having a matte screen when I want it, and the bare screen when I don't...I thought it was worth a shot. It was. Overall, I like the way it feels when writing with it... with the knowledge I can easily remove it and save it for later, when I want the texture back. It went on the iPad really easily. I haven't taken it off, and reapplied it yet. So, I don't know if dust will become an issue. The negatives: A slight rainbow effect never goes away. It's not HORRIBLE, but noticeable. And... it is not very fingerprint resistant. It's not as bad as the screen, but worse than other protectors that I've used. All in All, satisfied because of the price, and that I can use it only when I want.

I recently bought an iPad and already knew I wanted a paperfeel screen protector. At the same time, I wasn’t sure if I wanted one to be my everyday screen protector. I had ordered another ESR screen protector that was just a regular tempered glass adhesive one, and stumbled on this option that I hadn’t considered. The packaging itself is pretty interesting. The outer packaging was basically a fancy folder (didn’t experience any damage or shipping issues myself). The screen protector itself comes with a plastic reusable sleeve that will fit in just about any tablet bag with your iPad. The protective sleeve is a nice touch that eliminates some of the worry of damage when traveling. I was skeptical at first. This is my first iPad and the idea of a magnetic screen protector sounded like it would just slide around and be more of a problem than anything. Well… ESR wasn’t kidding around. This thing is so strong, I sometimes have to use a rigid piece of paper to get underneath & peel it back off (Which is awesome if you ask me!). It absolutely will not move out of place no matter how hard you try. The texture itself is great, not too course, but noticeably comparable to writing on paper(ish) material. It does resist finger prints fairly well, but will shows some. Wiping in circles with a clean wipe or rag does the job. I haven’t noticed any interference with use of a regular generic rubber tip stylus or an Apple Pencil 1st gen. There is some small refracting and the slightest barely noticeable detail loss of the screen when in use, but this tends to be the case with any of the paperfeel type screen protectors (magnetic or adhesive). This works just fine if you already have another adhesive screen protector already on your device. 10/10, and 100% recommend. Absolutely necessary for those who do a lot of note taking, hand writing, or digital art. And even more so if you still want to maintain using the regular screen or even with another (adhesive) screen protector (have not tried with another magnetic type, but assume it would work if there’s no magnetic polarity issues). Pretty sold on ESR after both of my screen protectors have been some of the best I’ve ever had to buy for a device, esp for the price point.

I was skeptical of this product because a lot of reviews said they got bubbles on their screen. I followed the instructions and cleaned my screen first. This magnetic screen protector is so easy to put on and readjust to line up. No bubbles! It gives the screen a matte appearance and makes writing with an Apple Pencil feel more natural. I got this to use with an app called Goodnotes for work so I can take notes and turn them to documents easily. However, my iPad is also where I watch a lot of entertainment and use as a recipe book in the kitchen so I wanted a screen protector that I could take off easily. This fits the bill. It seems like good quality and is made of a thick material. It also seems to be scratch resistant as writing in it has caused no damage. If you are on the fence about this product, it is only a couple of dollars and worth the try. I would recommend this screen protector.

I love that you can remove this! I use my iPad for note taking in class. I first got the privacy cover from ESR and I noticed it feels like writing on paper, so when I got the clear one I fell in LOVE! I got the two pack and gave one to my sister and she loves it too! No air bubbles because it’s magnetic! Fits perfect even on a metal keyboard case. I’ll come back to tell you if it wares on the pencil top or it scratches but so far so good!

Amazing! The magnet adheres perfectly to my iPad and feels like paper making it so much better to take notes on. Like all paper like protectors, it will wear away your pencil tips faster, so I'd get some extra tips. Very good product at a good price

The idea of a removable and reusable screen protector is amazing. Dust? No problem, take the screen protector off, clean the screen and the protector then put it back on. Fingerprints? Non existent, especially because of the matte finish. It’s thin, and bubble free. Since it’s plastic, it’ll never crack. So many great things about this screen protector. Correction, so many great ideas. In practice, each individual idea works. But I still prefer screen films like the paperlike screen protector, or inexpensive versions of the paperlike screen protector. The idea of having the protector be removable and reusable is great, until you realize the magnets they use on the edges of the protector make it just seem slightly out of place, as if the screen protector isn’t supposed to be there, as if it was only ever meant to be temporary. And that’s fine because it works great to be something temporary. Then the touch and feel of it… It feels like it doesn’t belong. Try touching it compared to just the screen.. I prefer the matte paper-like finish compared to glass. But this doesn’t quite make it to that level of experience, again, because of the temporary nature of the screen protector. To be honest, I was hoping this would be an amazing solution to all the times I got dust under my Paperlike screen protector. I was highly disappointed and wanted to give it 1/5 stars. But my expectations were different from what the product really is - something temporary that you can clean both sides of the surface, and reuse - even if you get a different iPad of the same size. Had that been my expectation at purchase, this would have been a 5/5 review. So I’m settling at a 3/5.

Se state pensando di prendere questa pellicola per studiare e non volete spendere molto/non volete rinunciare al finish lucido dello schermo dell'ipad questa fa al caso vostro. Si riattacca senza troppi problemi, non è troppo ruvida (anzi è "soffice" al tatto) e io la uso senza problemi con una punta di metallo. Non la consiglio ad artisti poiché sullo schermo si nota una sorta di grana, che potrebbe interferire con la visione ottimale di ciò che si sta disegnando (non me la sento di dire che alteri i colori però). Per studiare è sicuramente validissima

Ich bin absolut begeistert von der ESR-Papierfolie. Das Schreibgefühl ist wirklich der Wahnsinn – sie fühlt sich nahezu 1:1 wie echtes Papier an. Ich habe schon einige Papierfolien ausprobiert, aber diese gehört definitiv zu den besten, die ich je hatte. Besonders praktisch ist die magnetische Befestigung. Die Folie wird nicht fest aufgeklebt, sondern hält durch Magnete trotzdem sicher an ihrem Platz. Dank der kleinen Gummifüße an den Rändern verrutscht sie überhaupt nicht. Anfangs hatte ich Sorge, dass sie sich durch die magnetische Befestigung leicht verschieben könnte, aber die Magnetkraft ist stark genug und zusammen mit den Gummifüßen sitzt alles perfekt. Ein weiterer riesiger Vorteil: Wenn man Filme oder Serien schaut, kann man die Folie einfach abnehmen. Dadurch hat man keinen Farbverlust, sondern ein klares, brillantes Bild – das ist ein echter Pluspunkt gegenüber fest verklebten Papierfolien. Außerdem funktioniert die Auto-Wake-/Sleep-Funktion der Hülle weiterhin einwandfrei. Beim Zuklappen geht das iPad automatisch aus und beim Öffnen wieder an, ohne irgendwelche Einschränkungen. Für mich stimmt hier einfach alles: hervorragendes Schreibgefühl, durchdachtes magnetisches System, sicherer Halt und maximale Flexibilität. Klare 5 von 5 Sternen – absolute Kaufempfehlung!

picked this up mainly for drawing and note taking and it actually does what it claims. straight away you notice that paper-like resistance when using the pencil, feels a lot more natural than sliding on glass. the magnetic attachment is a nice touch. easy to snap on when you need it and take off when you don’t, which is good because you probably won’t want it on all the time. build quality is decent. feels sturdy enough and hasn’t warped or anything. magnets hold it in place properly, no slipping around while using it. performance-wise it’s great for writing and sketching. way more control and less slippery. makes a noticeable difference if you use the iPad for that kind of thing. only downside is the screen clarity takes a hit. colours look a bit muted and it’s not as sharp, which is expected but still noticeable. also picks up fingerprints and marks a bit more than I thought. for the price though, good value for money. especially if you’re using the iPad for drawing or notes. just be aware you’ll probably take it off when watching stuff.
