Truly escape proof, and it’s even really cute on my cat.
Yes, this cat harness is certainly escape proof!! All the other harness’s that I have tried on my cat. I had a very hard time finding a good fitting harness because according to the majority size recommendations were either too big around her neck, yet too small around her chest. It did take a little work to get my cat the adjust to having it on while she tried and tried to escape from it. Fortunately, she has never ever been able to even begin to get it off of it by herself. Now she is a pro at letting me put it on her without any issues or problems. She even likes it to be on now. Now we are working on training her to walk around with the leash attached. I don’t think anyone would regret purchasing this cat harness, I know that I sure don’t.

Nice vest, but consider ordering a size up
The vest is sturdy and secure, but I ordered a medium for my 8.5 pound cat and while it did fit, the straps barely fit her and the Velcro is only attached at the end of the strap. My cat is smaller in height and her vet is happy with her weight, but she's more stocky than lean. I'd order it again, but go one size larger.

Use with minature dog now a 4lb puppy. Pros and Cons
Pros: Extra-Small She likes going outside for walks and runs with harness that is first one found that fits perfectly and easy to put on. It looks good. The leash is the perfect size. There is pretty lace on the pink style. Cons: the velcro pulls her on her hair, so she hates to have it taken off-it's a struggle. She slipped out of it when on a run in the grass-it was frightening trying to catch her. I ordered a larger size because of the pros and hope to work around the cons.

sold as escape proof but both my cats with very different body types got out of it very quickly.

Seemed comfortable for kitty!
She didn’t fuss at all wearing this. Walked normally with it on. Seemed to calm her for travel. I brought a thunder shirt, but this seemed to work better. And with the leash she could walk around and explore. Very cute!
