works perfectly. face buttons are a little louder but if u have had the same duelshock for over 10 years this will feel like an upgrade on the battery. disregard ppl saying otherwise, it lasts literally longer idc. no faults so far. if it turns into a garbage brick I will come back up here and say such things. june23/2025

Great just like the one that comes with the PS4

This controller is a good buy for the price. Admittedly, I am a Boomer and struggle with technology at times. Yet, the directions were pretty straight forward (connecting with a PC). The product does respond well, all of the buttons and triggers work as they should. The analog sticks do look and feel a little weak, but at the price, totally acceptable. I made this purchase as a budget minded option and if needed, I would buy it again. Compared to a "branded product" price tag, this is a winner. Apples to apples, if not for the analog sticks being a little questionable. I would have given this one a 5 star

Old unit failed .this was purchased to replace worn out unit . Charged it up . Kids were happy .

Terrible, I took a leap of faith and ordered this controller. Upon opening the brand new box, I tried the controller. I play GTA and EA FC. The Right analog stick was making a loud squeaking noise when moved. The triangle button doesn't work. Biggest headache is the hour I'm gonna spend returning this to wholefoods. This seller deserves negative stars. Absolutely Disappointed

UPDATE: I have used this controller for about 6 months. The buttons still work flawlessly and it still looks new but the battery has declined significantly. I can play about an 1.5 hours before the low battery warning shows up. The issue is that it only turns off when the PS4 is off. It still functions like new and you can use it while charging though that significantly adds to the charge time.Would I buy it again? Maybe. It is a worthy replacement but it's biggest draw is the price. If you have to constantly replace them due to battery issues, the savings is gone. Please read the original review below for details on the product.ORIGINAL REVIEW: I have only used it a few weeks but so far it seems a worthy replacement controller. It arrived with a partial charge and it comes with a decent length USB cord. I had to restart the PS4 twice before it finally paired but after that it has worked flawlessly.It's slightly lighter than the official controller but not by much. The build feels solid and well-balanced. It doesn't rattle or make noise. The buttons and joystick placement are the same as the original. The Options and Share buttons are slightly larger than the original and are actually better because of it. The shoulder buttons are a bit stiff but will likely break in after additional use. It is extremely responsive and when using, I don't notice any lag. It has the color changing light bar like the original. This controller is actually easier to hold because the grips are lightly textured, at least on the black controller. The only real faults are 1) it needs charged frequently due to the smaller battery and 2) it will not shut down unless the PS4 is off. I liked that time-out feature on the original controller and it helped save the battery.Overall, it's a solid replacement and as close to the original controller as you can get - especially considering it's less than half the cost of the original.
