The media could not be loaded.  I placed these on my shepherd's hook outside and it's not your usual clang sound of metal windchimes. These don't bother my pet's ears and to test strength I left them outside during a wind and rain storm. They came through with no chips or broken pieces. The video and picture really doesn't show the excellent quality that is enjoyable in person.

I LOVE capiz shell wind chimes; they sound so pretty. I have two but both need to be restrung due to the age of the strings. One is strung with fishing line and the other with cotton string. Both succummed to the brutal California heat and sun.When I saw this wind chime come up as a promotional I immediately ordered it. It came today and I have to say I'm a bit disappointed. I don't think it is the quality I would expect for the price point. The shells are strung with heavier fishing line, which is too wiry instead of straight and bent at the knots; the shells too lightweight to hang nicely. Most of the nicer chimes are strung with small rings between the shells like chandelier crystals. I actually found one on the el cheapo straight from China site that was 1/3 the price. I saw one on this site that was twice as long for the same price. That one was strung with lighter fishing line and the shells hang nicer.For now I will hang it up but I may tear it apart later and restring it with rings and maybe add some beads. I say minus 2 stars; I deducted one for quality and one for high price point.

The media could not be loaded.  Well, I certainly was expecting a little more than what I received based on the wonderful pictures in the ad...I love windchimes. They are my relaxation. I can sit on my porch and just unwind listening to the melodies of my many chimes. I was looking forward to adding a capiz shell wind chime to my line-up. I sadly admit, I'm disappointed. Quote directly from ad: "Our wind chimes boast superior quality". My purchase does not look remotely as full as the ad images. Yes, I read the dimensions prior to purchase, and yes, the dimensions are very closely accurate. But, my wind chime does not look as nice, not as full, and definitely not as relaxed/free moving as the one pictured.My fishing line shells are TIGHT, and the capiz is pinched together which will eventually break the shell, or cut the line. The stringing of this is poorly done, I mean, it looks like a hot mess. The line is too thick and hard for such delicate shells, and the criss-cross pattern on the top is haphazardly done. The wood base is raw, unfinished wood, and the ad states this is for indoor/outdoor use. I wouldn't expose this to the open elements and trust the craftsmanship for any length of time.Bottom line, while the chimes make a pretty sound, this was poorly made, with issues of longevity. I CAN'T recommend this wind chime. The price is 24.99 at the time of this review 1/6/2024, but feel that looking at other options may be a better choice.*Please view pictures and any video as I consider them part of my full review.

The media could not be loaded.  This was not at all what I was expecting. It is so horribly made!- The fishing line is thicker than it should be. The shells do not hang or swing like they should with this thick line.- The tied-off fishing line knots are not done properly, and nearly all of the shells are laying on top of each other, causing them to hang and swing wonky.- The last shell on each line has a hole in the bottom where you can add an extra piece. It would have been nice to not see this hole, as nothing else was added on.- The top wood piece has not been weather-coated, so don't expect it to hold up to rain and sun.Overall, this item is very overpriced for the way it was so horribly made.I am planning to disassemble the entire thing, weather coat the wood top, reassemble with smaller fishing line, and add a very small chandelier prism to the bottom of each green Capiz shell.*See my unboxing video for more product details.

Our backyard is one of our favorite places to spend time, and these windchimes will add just the right sound. The set we received matches the measurements in the product photo. The top of one of the shells is broken, and there were tiny pieces of it in the package. So far it has not broken off of our windchime, but if it does, they'll still sound nice.There are a few pieces that are hanging at odd angles, but I think the'll probably straighten out as the string warms up and gravity helps them stretch now that they're out of the box. They are made with clear fishing line that holds the shells in place without being visually obstrusive. The shells are probably thick enough to be sturdy for years to come, while being delicate enough to move in a light wind. The top is a piece of untreated wood. We will likely polyurethane it so it will last longer in outside.The sound? It's delicate and comforting, reminiscent of being somewhere tropical and happy. Quite a contrast to the midwestern winter we're experiencing as I write this review! For now, these windchimes are hanging safely in our house. As soon as spring arrives, they'll be hung on a shepherd's hook near the pergola, to catch the wind and add a bit of whimsy to our yard.

Love these beautiful chimes, they look and sound beautiful. They are light and easy to hang and look great outside. Love the addition to my garden.

It’s a lot smaller than it looks in picture . The shells are not placed well on the string. The shells are angled deferent ways making it look cheap and it entwines with the other strings. There are four short strings on the outside and two longer string in the middle. The top is a piece of wood that was shape into a circle . With nothing done to it If they would have maybe stained the wood and put a few more string on it would bring it out . It has great potential just needs a little more put in it in my opinion.
