A comprehensive study guide to start any small business.
Don’t let the main title fool you. This book is a comprehensive study guide to start any small business using Randy’s knowledge and experience in his journey to build a successful federal government contracting company. I highlighted, wrote notes and digitally dog-eared pages as if it was a college textbook.Randy reveals the hidden world of Federal Government contracting and lays out, in detail, step-by-step processes, with links to websites, for any business startup. What really captured me is that he gives you the recipe, not a book of concepts, catch phrases, and emotional coaching but a handbook with actionable instructions that anyone can understand. He reveals, in plain speak, the secret manual to start a business and tells you the mistakes he made along the way. Of course, he focuses on Federal Government contracting because as he says in his book, it’s a market with “guaranteed and known demand,” but this book is practical for any business startup. This book is not only the business startup how-to-guide but, frankly, a good read. With his down to earth his stories and quotable anecdotes, I felt like I journeyed with him. His success is easily understood and though, he tells you in the beginning how his business faired, I still found myself rooting for the guy.
