Just stunning!
I can't say how much I love this deck. The colors are radiant, the artwork is true to what I know of Hindu culture, they are tiny but I like that aspect about them. The deck includes all majors and Pages as the remainder of the court and suits are part of a playing card deck I did not purchase.

Excited about a full tarot deck from BHARATA
They are lovely. Rich full colors the cardstock is nice the images clearA minor nussance: I just thought they would be the size of my ISIS Oracle deck or at least the size of most of my tarot decksBut never the less eyeAMcharmedThe petite size gives it's own meaningful readAnd I am Enchanted with it's storylooking forward to a larger size and full deck

Charming Indian folk art of the Bharata Playing Cards series
When Sunish Chabba, from the Guru Playing Card Company, produced his first edition of Bharata Playing Cards in 2017, it was very much geared toward collectors. Bharata is the original name of India, and the Bharata playing cards are an ode to the childhood stories of kings and queens that have become part of the history of Indian culture. The deck features illustrations and artwork based on Indian folk art forms, and was put together in collaboration with Ishan Trivedi, as top Indian illustrator. After the initial Bharata Playing Cards deck came a follow-up, this deck of Bharata Tarot Major Arcana. This has similar styled beautiful artwork, now occupying the full canvas of the cards, and again with hand gilded edges, this time with an antique gold look. Inspiration behind the images includes Kishangarh paintings and miniature paintings, and these really come to life when the borders are absent, and where all the attention is on the artwork. And the card backs - wow - they are even more lovely than those of the original deck! It looks spectacular. The white borders help ensure that it isn't over the top and remains functional, and there is simple circular design that is immediately memorable - a hallmark of good design. Yet within the simple shapes of the overall design there's incredible detail, including patterned flowers and swan-like figures. And the colours! I am just smitten by the rich combination of reds, blues and purples, which come together in a palette that feels warm and luxurious without being overpowering. Outstanding work! This is another stunning deck, even though it isn't really intended for significant practical usage. While the cards are poker sized and have gorgeous full-sized art, it is designed as a tarot deck, and only had 26 cards in total (22 Major Arcana cards plus 4 extra cards). However Sunish has also created a Bharata Series 2 deck which has 56 cards with the same artwork on the card backs, and you can add these to make a full deck of 78 cards. I'm a sucker for decks that have luxurious looking tuck box and engaging and unique playing cards, and this deck meets all of those criteria.
