So some reviews that looked more like they didn't understand how it worked. Then it actually being the products fault. The instructions are pretty bad though

I tried to set the password 6 times on different numbers and could not get it to work. Called tech support and they said since I bought it from Amazon they would have the Amazon rep from their company contact me. I received two emails telling me the problem was solved referring to an electronic and not manual lock. Per instructions I replied to the link on the email taking me full circle back to the original tech support. I have not been able to contact anyone taking responsibility and no where on their website is their help with this problem. So I have a dysfunctional lock of no use and finally gave up and have to return it

So far, so good. Was a little finicky to install but I chalk that up to my door. Have not had any issues with it so far, though, which is a good sign. It's on an exterior door that gets a lot of weather so it will be a real test of weather resistance and durability. I'll be back to update this if it fails me within the year.

Though I said too many bad words during the install, I'm ultimately glad I stuck with it (the only reason I did was because I drilled a hole in my door). The installation process is a bit challenging (I'm generally pretty handy), mostly because the instructions are poor. Honestly, I still don't quite know what I was doing wrong then eventually did right. But once all was said and done, the handle feels durable and high-quality, and is a great alternative to a "smart" lock at a much cheaper price point. Just be sure that you're okay with ALWAYS having to manually unlock your door before you decide to purchase.
