I picked up the MeLE Quieter3C Mini PC from Amazon and added a cheap 1TB Samsung 980 SSD to it. This Mini PC is very small, compact, and has a very good Intel Celeron N5105 processor in it. It comes with 8GB of RAM which cannot be increased but is plenty enough power for running an Astro Rig with headroom. The default OS install is Windows 11 Pro, which is great (and genuine). This C model has the ability to run on USB-C power, which I did for the entirety of the testing, as my battery pack has a USB-C power port on it. One of the big reasons why I even bought this Mini PC.The one I picked up has a 256GB eMMC C:\ drive, which is not the fastest storage available, but gets the job done for the OS install and application installs. I ran through the gamut of application installs inside the house and did note that the system did get extremely hot. It even overheated once and shut down. This is likely my fault to a degree, as I was hammering it with getting apps installed, Windows updates running, etc. This could be mitigated with improvements to their internal thermal pads, but I will wait to see if this is an actual problem in use. Another idea would be to just install a Noctua fan on the case of the device and have that run full bore sucking heat from the device and blowing it out. Also, something I will wait to see if it's a real issue in normal use. This would be my first option to test though, as Noctua fans are awesome, cheap, and easy to install on things.Another issue I encountered was that the Wi-Fi module and Bluetooth module had their drivers get corrupted in the process of updating everything (Windows, my apps, etc) and this was easily remedied by installing the latest driver packages from Intel, shutting down the device, pulling the power and letting the RAM completely clear. Then plugging it back in and powering it back up. Subsequent reboots have not shown a repro of this issue, so I would just have these drivers handy if you plan to try this device out.I connected and had everything I use for imaging running (APCC, APV2, PHD2, CDC, Voyager Advanced, Voyager FITS viewer, Pegasus Unity). No sweat, and the CPU was under 35% utilization. I ran an APPM Model and the run was a yawn fest for the CPU and memory. Solves were a joke with ASTAP and this N5105 processor, significantly faster than the MiniX I was using that was quite a few gens behind the CPU times. On the MiniX I was lucky to get 1.5 solves per minute and on this system, I was easily getting 2.5-3.MeLE clearly has this system tuned for maximum CPU power. The base clock on this is 2.0Ghz and it was running at a median of 2.8Ghz. Tearing through tasks it was asked to do with no problems at all.With a fresh model in hand, I did do some image testing. This has really nothing to do with the PC at all, but still its worthwhile to do for some funsies. I did an unguided image and a guided image in HA. With everything running full throat, during the unguided image, the processor was running at about 25%. That is a good 50% lower than my previous MiniX PC, which ran at very close to 70-80% at all times. This is a monster in comparison. Guided it was probably about a good 8% CPU more. Roughly about 32% at the median.Overall, this is an excellent Mini PC for Astro imaging.

I purchased a MeLE QuieterDL 4GB RAM, added a Silicon Power M.2 NVMe SSD.I chose 4GB RAM since that is more than enough for a Linux router/firewall/PBX project.After limited testing, I am pleased with the MeLE QuieterDL, a reasonable value at $146 USD + free shipping.Being fanless and 2x 2.5Gb NICs was the key selling point.Idle power is 7 Watts, (No video connection, disabled WiFi, eMMC and HD Audio in the BIOS)The 2.5Gb Realtek RTL8125 NICs do not have a registered MAC vendor ID, it would be nice to see "MeLE" as the vendor.Temperatures are reasonable, for example at idle with an ambient temperature of 23C:--Adapter: ISA adapterPackage id 0: +45.0 C (high = +105.0 C, crit = +105.0 C)Core 0: +42.0 C (high = +105.0 C, crit = +105.0 C)Core 1: +42.0 C (high = +105.0 C, crit = +105.0 C)Core 2: +42.0 C (high = +105.0 C, crit = +105.0 C)Core 3: +42.0 C (high = +105.0 C, crit = +105.0 C)--I was somewhat surprised how the box is hardly warm, albeit no video or heavy CPU processing.Attached is a photo looking inside, note a bracket with a white "pad" pushes on the underside of the N100 forcing contact to the heat spreader.After limited testing, my only negatives so far:* The lack of a "buzzer" (there is a spot on the board, but not populated)* The 12VDC power adapter uses a Type-C connector instead of a barrel jack. This makes the power adapter unique, and could damage random USB-C devices if accidentally connected.All in all, the MeLE QuieterDL is worth consideration for your Linux router/firewall/PBX project.

I got this for a hurricane backup PC. Everything works as advertised and the only complaint is excessive heat, even when not under a substantial load. I put a $5 fan on it when I'm using it and saved a lot more than the five bucks.

Excellent little no fan PC with good performance and built in WIFI and plenty of USB3 ports for Camera and other accessories. Allows remote control of imaging sessions. Small size makes it easy to mount on telescope or mount. Also is a nice addition for an RV .

More than enough power as a controller running NAS. 10Gb USB is nice to have and can. The box can take M.2 SSD that definitely help for the performance. It is very good performance for that price range.For gaming, what you get is what you have paid for.

Perfect for my astrophotography setup. Runs NINA and associated apps, including Pixinsight for live stacking.

We have a vacation home, with cameras and some BlueTooth devices. Wanted a way to manage/view them while away. This device the perfect solution. I've been running it for several weeks now; I've cut power and powered it up - comes right back up. Considering the processor, this is a fast unit. Very pleased.

Pretty good mini PC for general task. Used this aside from my full size desktop for movie watching and as a Plex server. Don't expect a smooth performance of a traditional desktop, as the CPU maxed out at 100% when performing Windows update or just simply launching programs.Added a USB Wi-Fi dongle to enhance the connectivity, since the built in card didn't support a higher link speed (45-50 MB) vs 520 MB.It does get hot being fanless. I have a portable fan pointing at it which dropped the temp down to 38-40 C. Without fans, temp gets in the high 50 and 60, sometimes 70-80. My advice is to buy an aluminum heat fin and place it on top to dissipate the heat.
