Do they aborsob watery diarrhea when you just can’t get to bath room fast enough

These Clean Seat pads can absorb a VERY SMALL amount of watery diarrhea, but it is unlikely the pad would absorb or hold a complete evacuation of the bowels. The pads are intended for minor leakage. The Clean Seat pads do not fit well. For some people, the pads will provide adequate coverage. More people, however, will find the pads are not wide enough to protect underwear. The pads also  shift too easily as you wear them, which can lead to parts of underwear becoming exposed and potentially soiled. The tape on the back of the pad is not long enough nor sticky enough. As far as I can tell, the Clean Pad keeps the bowel leakage against your skin (it does not have a film or thin barrier common in women's menstrual panty liners). Thus, the fecal material can smear and/or spread to the crotch area, which could increase the risk of an UTI, especially in women.

I quit using Clean Seat pads for the above reasons. Now, I buy Butterfly body/anal liners and add as a second protection: a panty liner with wings. Butterfly pads are excellent for containing small amounts of accidental bowel leakage (ABL) or a small stool. The Butterfly cannot contain a quantity of fecal material or a full evacuation of bowels.

Could this be used for a child with encopresis? or are they to big?

The Clean Seat is almost 13" long.  Its great for any issue that it staining underwear.  Do not use for heavy leakage though.  Thank you for your interest!
