I purchased this glove for my daughter to use as a short stop for her highschool softball team. I intend this glove to last through highschool and into college if she continues to play at the point. Like all other Rawlings gloves, this glove holds true to the quality that you would expect. The leather is form in the fingers and the glove has a huge pocket for a short infielders glove. My daughter really likes the quick adjustment on the wrist. this design is easy to tighten and loosen on your hand. This glove does take some time to work in, but once it is ready it is a great infielders glove. no complaints.

The glove is great, my daughter has one. I purchased this one and it came with a colored web. I should have sent it back but waited while we decided if the color mattered. Then the seller took it back with a full refund a few days after the return window. I appreciate that. I would order from Basebal express/team express again ! The Liberty model is a very good value, use to be sold under the Worth name, now Rawlings. Awsome glove for the money.

Really sharp glove Bought this for my daughter she is 10 ,almost 11. Glove looked a lil big for her. After beating it with a mallet and applying oil broke in nice. She gets lots of compliments on the glove. The tag had a picture of Kelanie Ricketts. Who is an Oklahoma National Champ 2013. Which is cool because my daughters pitching coach was a pitcher on that team also. The laces stretched a lot in the break in. I snugged them all up. Great glove Should last my daughter well into high school Would Buy again but probably won’t have too

Purchased this glove for my 14 year old daughter who plays outfield and first base. This glove is the "finger shift" model, meaning you put both your pinky and ring finger in the pinky slot of the glove. This gives the player much greater control over the closing of the glove and securing the ball. I purchased this Rawlings Liberty as well as the solid white first base mitt (see separate review below), but I must say they are both incredible. The break-in for the finger shift model is very quick. I was able to get the glove game ready in about 3 days using a mallet and playing catch for about an hour each day (no oil or water treatment is needed to break-in). The back closure is probably one of the greatest designs for giving her the confidence the glove is securely on her hand. To secure the glove you just pull two separate wide laces to tighten and pull the opposite joining tab for quick release. The only warning I would give potential buyers is that the index finger slot is non-functioning. So if you want to wear the glove in the traditional manner, you can't. However, for us this in not an issue in the least as once my daughter start using the "2 in the pinky" method, she can't go back to a traditional grip anymore. Great purchase for us!My daughter says the first base mitt is best she has ever used. However, it takes much more time and effort to break-in. Rawlings says their Liberty line of gloves are 80% factory - 20% player break-in. For the mitt, I feel it is more 40% factory - 60% player. It took a couple hours of mallet work and several days of catch to get it to a point of use. Out of the box, my daughter couldn’t close the mitt more than an inch or so. But let me tell you, once broken in, it is a ball magnet! She is picking balls out of the dirt better than ever before. The confidence she has in the mitt is awesome. The all-white would not have been her first choice in color, but performance is what matters. AND, this mitt performs.

Bought this Rawlings glove for my daughter and we both love it. It’s a beauty and she was able to break it in really easily. The price was great for such a well made glove. Always been a fan of Rawlings and this made my daughter love them more.

It's a good glove, taken some time to break it in. the black part of this glove does indeed bleed when it gets wet or if you use the conditioning oil on it. a little warning would of been good to know.

I bought this for my 12 year old daughter, but now she is 15 and plays third base. She loves this glove and still uses it to this day. It is a great glove for the deep pocket of the glove to handle the ball. Now after three years of play with this glove it does get stiff, and it does now have cuts in the inter part of the glove which does cut her fingers, but after about 15 minutes of playing with the glove she is fine. But lets be real after 3 year of wearing this glove everyday it will have some cuts and will be some work. This glove is amazing for players just coming into 12u or 14u or even high school ball. We are buying it again for her because she loved it so much, obviously she loved it too much with all the cut. With this purchase she will play all the way through high school without having to buy a new one. I 100% recommend this glove to any player in need of a new one.

You can't go wrong with this glove. The glove will take some break in but the leather is soft and supple. Workmanship is excellent and Rawlings paid attention to details. My daughter plays third base on a 14U fastpitch travel softball team and she was ecstatic to get it for Christmas!
