Is the base full iron? dose it slipper proof?

It is a heavy iron base. It does not slip at all. I have two of them and love them.

I put edison led e26 bulb in but way too bright, the bulb is 6.5w & 450lumens. i want it as a nightlight,,what bulb would work for a much lower bright

Gee, for that I'm not sure but the seller was very informative when I had questions so that might be your best option send the question to him. I just simply love ours with the standard 3way bulbs we bought. The third tap is our nite light. Sorry I couldn't help more~Teri

Hello friend, the dimmer in our lamp is UL approved.

Where do you get the bulb that it has in it in the photo?

It is available on Amazon. Vintage Edison bulb and the seller is Gordon and Bond. This was the only lamp I found at the time of purchase which could hold 60watts bulb! It is perfect for bedside table!
