I tried the SureFlap door on it’s own after it fit in the old cat door flap I had cut, but the microchip reader would not work with the metal so close. I had to use a jigsaw to cut the existing hole a bit higher (the adapter plates are quite large and the bottom part was longer than the door frame), but once I readjusted, the chip reader worked perfectly. My cats were rescues and both have older chips that vary in digit length; this cat door worked well for both of them. Worked for Metal Door

Yes indeed without it the flap was'nt working on my iron front door, now it's ok

Finalmente il gatto è indipendente nell'entrare ed uscire. Facile il montaggio e l'abbinamento con microchip. Si potrebbero fare però diverse misure per gatti extra large
