Crayola Marker Maker Wacky Tips

Great great product. My kids had so much fun and I found myself asking multiple times if I could make a marker too. They let me lol. I love that all the contents can be easily wiped down and the stored in itself so it's self contained. I have already purchased another one for my other daughter because it was that much fun. It does take time and if your a parent who doesn't like to be hands on I don't recommend it for you unless your kids are older. My children are 6 and 7 and I sat with them as we all played as a family. The wacky tips were so much fun to write with and my girls loved choosing which one they would use next. I would definitely buy again which I already have lol. I bought an extra one to use a birthday gifts. My kids are normally on their Ipads all the time so I love that the Crayola marker maker made them set down together and just play!! Amazon had such a great deal on these I am so glad I just went for it!! Also I am a clean freak and even though you think this would be crazy messy, all the plastic is so easy to clean and it's all washable!

We really enjoyed this toy! My 8 year old sister and I (I am 13) had tons of fun. The set was easy to use, little mess, and reasonably priced. She would have been able to do it herself, although the only thing was that we found it difficult to get the ink out of the bottles, as the release tube is quite small and does its job of protecting from spills well. There is plenty of ink and supplies, and this set was great to do together as we each were able to make 8 markers, and it came with two storage boxes. All in all, it turned out to be even more fun the we had expected, and we have a refill pack on the way. :)

The presentation of this toy is a little underwhelming. The box is much much smaller then I thought it would be. But my 6 yr old did have fun with this for awhile. It is fun to experiment & see what colors you can create. Though a downside is, there's only 3 different color dyes, so a lot of the colors she made looked reasonably similar. This didn't bother her though.. she played with it until she ran out of markers to make, which didn't take long because it doesnt come with that many markers & at 6 yrs old she tends to blow thru things as fast as possible. All in all, this is a nice little set & my daughter had fun with it. Though, it's not something your child would play with more then once unless you're willing to buy refill packs.

This was by far my favorite of the crayola maker line of products. The marker maker is easy to use and can be done with adult assistance. For older kids adults may not need to help, but with my two daughters I was not willing to risk the mess. The process is fairly simple and the directions are easy to follow. The base folds up to hold all items and makes it easy to carry. The dye comes out in the washing machine, but it is pretty hard to get off of skin. The kit includes supplies to make sixteen markers with more then enough ink to create whatever combination of colors your child would like. My daughters enjoyed naming the colors.

This Crayola Marker Maker kit holds up in quality just as any other Crayola product does. It's alot of fun for the kids to sit down and make their own markers. It comes with several markers that you have to piece together, and they each have a unique drawing top. Comes with the 4 primary colors that you mix to make other colors, and even have a chart to tell you exactly how many drops of each color is needed to product a different color. I also like the fact that there are refill kits sold for this kit, and also have different colors included. We will be trying the pastels next. This kit is really simple to use , my 8 year old makes her own markers by herself. Easy to keep clean, and doesn't make a mess while using. Super happy with this purchase.

Great toy! It may be light and feel like flimsy plastic, but it does everything it's supposed to. My 7-year-old already made a couple of markers and was very excited about it. It does require a little hand-eye coordination as the inks need to be dripped into small plastic beakers. And the lever needs a bit of pressure to snap the marker pieces into place properly, but it's nothing too strenuous. The markers came out great. It was interesting watching the cores soak up the colors. It wonderfully combines the worlds of art and science -- it's like a little color-making laboratory! And unlike a lot of craft-making toys, the results here are not some throw-away pieces of junk. They're fully functional markers that can be used to create even more projects!

I purchased the marker maker for my 7 year old. We love the kit besides the fact that it came with enough material to make 16 markers but only 5 bottoms. With out additional bottoms we are not able to put the marker together. Not sure if that was a mistake by the manufacturer or what, but it's upsetting to be able to only make 5 markers.

This was a Christmas present for my 6 & 4 year old boys. They were super excited and used it for 2 days straight and now they don't care for it at all. Making the markers was a fun process and getting to watch the foam soak up the ink was entertaining. The downsides: #1. the markers really aren't that great to use. They were a little dry or something, but they don't write well. #2. the carrying case is a little flimsy.
