Long term review. High quality. Sustained conectivity.
Purchased 14 months ago. Cable is high quality &extremely well made. No disconnections with external SSD drives or enclosures. In fact, seems to increase reliability of many thunderbolt peripherals that ship with low quality thunderbolt cables.

Quality Apple cable
The one I got was genuine Apple brand. I actually ordered the wrong cable because I was in a hurry - I needed a charging cable for my 2019 MacBook Pro because my rabbit chewed through my original cable. Rabbits. This is a SHORT cable, but it does work as a charging cable and supports the high power needed for the MacBook Pro. It was less convenient because of the length, but it got me going until I got the standard 6 foot charging cable. Bonus, this one works for high speed data transfer too, in case I ever need that, and it's compact so that I can keep it in my carry bag as a backup cable.

Did exactly what I needed to do
I recently purchased the LG Ultrafine 5k monitor for my 2018 MBP. It works perfectly. I also have a work laptop that is HP Elitebook 830 G6. The original cable from the monitor, the Thunderbolt 3 allows both laptops to work for the monitor. Once I am off work, I plug in my personal computer. Wola. I am very happy and pleased with the performance of the monitor being able to work with both types of laptops that when I consulted the Apple Specialist, asking what I need to buy to keep a spare cable around. They let me know it is this Thunderbolt 3 cable that works for this situation. As long as there is a lighting bolt not he cable, it is a Thunderbolt 3. When I got it in the mail, I plugged it in to test, and wola! Works! I now have a spare in case the original one gives out. Its perfect! The USBC outlet on the HP laptop is 2.0, not even meant to work for anything but standard charging. Yet, the Thunderbolt 3 cable was able to transfer the data and let my monitor work with the laptop.

Safe, Certified, Quality Apple Charging Cable. Enjoy!
This product is a bit expensive for what it is, but it is a higher quality than others I have used. I accidentally crushed the tip of the one that came with my iPad Pro when it got stuck under my easy chair. I bought these two replacement cords, because they are shorter and thicker and perfect for the space my wife and I charge our iPads. I have noticed that the iPad charges much faster with this product than it did with the cable that came with the iPad. This is an Apple product that is certified for use with the Apple iPad. While some people are tempted to purchase less expensive charging cables like I did one time, I learned the hard way that it is not a good idea. I once bought a cheap set of cables for an iPhone and the iPhone got so hot that it melted the plastic cover to the back of my iPhone. Feeling lucky that it did not cause a fire, I have learned that cheaper is not always safer. I now make sure that the charging cables I buy for my electronic devices are made for and certified to be used with the product I want to charge. These are high quality charging cables that I know are safe to use with my Apple iPad Pro. Expense? Not when you consider the safety of your product, your home, and your family. Enjoy!

Expensive but well-built cable
This is an expensive cable but as they say, you get what you pay for. And the build quality of this is amazing. The speeds are extremely fast and you will never want to go back to a slower usb-c cable after using this, and the cable is thick and sturdy and is built to last.

Thunderbolt worked great.
used this Thunderbolt cable in search of cable to support a new VideoSonic external monitor. Specifically chose the V/S monitor because it has USB-C outlet!!. I initially tried the macbook's usb-c charging cable, but the MacBook didn't recognize the monitor, yes --- spent a few fruitless hours on lovely Apple Support. The Thunderbolt cable - worked spoton, on first use. Boom done! Two notes. 1. I thought the Thunderbolt would power the monitor, but it doesn't. Power goes other way --- the monitor power source powers the MacBook, which is great!! 2. Get the 2m cable.. .8m is pretty short. In fact. it's too short for my planned layout of MacBook on LEFT and monitor on RIGHT. (Just stretching across the MacBook is 14 inches.. plus half way across the monitor another 12-14 inches... doesn't leave any extra for spacing..... ).

High Quality Boondoggle
Shiny apple cable for shiny new iPhone because Apple is stupid and hates it's user base despite the fact that we adore their products. If you don't think that's true, buy a new Magic Mouse and use it while charging. Over inflated price for a decent cable. Replaced an Anker one because it was constantly overheating, so really I have no complaints other than Lightning cables are stupid. *wife whispers in ear* Oh shoot, wrong cable. This is still too expensive.

Seems to do the job so far- only been used for a couple of weeks. I’m using this with an OWC thunderbolt 3 dock and no issues so far. The connection into my MacBook Pro feels very solid with this cable. Only issue is the price, as with anything Apple.
