Five Stars
Great replacement motor for my tiger shark pool cleaner. Very pricy, but works great after two seasons of use.

Failed after 50 weeks - no warranty coverage from Hayward
Motor shaft leaked and rusted. Hayward does not warrant these parts. I have now had two motors fail in a similar fashion. Very expensive part to NOT have warranty coverage and a high fail rate.

failed after one season
Replaced original motor that lasted 8 years and then this lasted around 13 months only.

Hayward RCX43000 4 HR DC Quick Clean Motor Unit- Replacement
Unit was easy to install. My only issue was the required larger diameter screws to mount the motor. A trip to the local Hardware store was needed.

Motor replacement
The motor was delivered on time and works better than the old motor. Seams to clean the pool faster.Just a little expensive

Works great! CAUTION: special and expensive tools are required!
This product works great, but this is NOT an easy DIY project, and I'm knocking off two stars because nowhere on this product page does it warn you that very expensive and specialized installation tools are required. Specifically, when you reconnect the old power cord to this motor, you must apply a fairly precise amount of torque to properly seal the rubber gasket. Too tight or too loose, and the plug may leak and ruin the electronics inside. The recommended tool for this job is the proprietary Hayward RCX79005 Torque Screwdriver - search for it and you'll find that this innocent looking piece of metal costs over $250. I was able to jury-rig a make-shift torque wrench to apply approximately the right amount of torque, then I held my breath and put it in my pool, hoping the seal would hold. So far, so good.Additionally, you may find this more affordable $6 tool also helpful. I almost ruined the plug's molex connector pins trying to pull it apart so I could replace the old rubber gasket and washers with the new ones (included with this product). Only later did I find this tool that should help disassemble the plug without damaging it.https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0094MIS9U

Only lasted 15 months!
We bought this new motor and it only lasted 15 months. we spent around $400 and now need to buy another pool cleaner for about $800. What a waste of money.
