Read the bottle. I know longer have the bottle, but if something says 'distributed from *** then city, state' that usually means it was imported from China. Or when it says 'manufactured from imported material'. I personally want 'MADE IN THE USA' labels brought back. The last bottle of potassium I bought states: "Distributed by: Amazon.com Services, Inc., 410 Terry Avenue N., Seattle, WA 98109". That means it is imported -probably from China- sent to a distribution center in The United States of America and then distributed. Hopefully when the 35% tariffs on imported goods from China take place this month it will encourage manufacturers to bring production jobs back to the USA. I don't know-but if they plan on passing the tariff on to me I will look harder for another product - or just eat more bananas and pineapple juice.

They don't always tell you because Potassium is one of the heavily federally controlled supplements. Potassium can only be sold at 99mg. In the case of Potassium Gluconate that 99 mg comes from 595 mg of Potassium Gluconate.
