I needed to drill 4 holes in my truck bed. The first hole went well, the second hole didn’t drill well, the bit was getting dull, on the third hole the bit was junk. The 4th hole there just wasn’t any hope for it. I had drilled four pilot hole first and also used cutting fluid for the bit. I have drilled through a lot of different metal over the years but this truck bed must be made of titanium to eat a bit up as fast as it went bad. Don’t buy this crap!

I had to open up some holes in cast iron totaling about seven inches of depth with a hand held drill. I expected the corners to go long before I was done. The bit got through the whole project without any need for sharpening. That seems good to me.

This bit was everything I needed to cut through hardened steel That was A half inch thick, did it without any cutting oil.

Tried the 11/16 on a piece of 3mm thick hardend steel to make a 9/16 hole larger. Had it in drill press on lowest speed and used oil. Made it about half way thru and dulled, wouldnt cut any further. Its probably fine for softer metals.
