If you are looking for a puzzle to do in a large group or over a long break, this one might be an appropriate challenge. The puzzle only has red, white, and black for the colors, and the entire picture is Santa Claus faces, except for one face that strangely does not have a beard. The puzzle comes with a poster that shows the whole picture, which is always helpful. The pieces come all together in a sealed plastic bag so presumably all pieces are there when you receive it. It seems like it has less than the usual amount of “dust” from the pieces being cut, so it will make less of a mess than usual when you dump the pieces out of the bag because there is no fiber at the bottom of the bag. The pieces are of a heavy card stock, but they are not overly thick, so they might be difficult for very young people, or anyone with arthritis to pick up off a table without sliding them to the edge. If you also do “diamond painting,” you might want to use the little dabber that has a bit of wax on the end to help pick up individual puzzle pieces without damaging them. The cuts are clean on the pieces and they fit together well. On the back of the pieces, there are lines of letters, indicating what way is right side side up. This will be very helpful in accomplishing this puzzle, especially if you are doing it in a group with some people who might get frustrated with a lack of progress. This would be a good hostess gift, something good to bring out for family gatherings, or a project for a student on break.
