I've always been a bit of a minimalist when it comes to bedside gadgets, but this alarm clock has managed to earn a permanent spot. The sound quality is surprisingly robust for its size, making those early morning tunes a bit more bearable. The dual alarm function is a lifesaver for couples with different schedules. The wireless charging pad is a nice touch.

The instruction leaflet wasn't very easy to read. Wasn't sure which preset radio it would pick up. Because it's not DAB, the sound quality wasn't good.

This laoonl on the face it is fairly average - it doesn't everything okay-ish.It's a clock - it tells the time and you can set an alarm (who'd have thunk?). It's a radio (FM) that sounds okay. It's a bluetooth speaker with average sound quality. It can play music from an SD card so you can party like it's 2007.The display is large enough that I can read it without my glasses.This item shines in two places. First, that it can charge your phone. Just plonk your phone on top (obviously depending on if your phone has wireless charging!) - then spend a minute or two adjusting it so it does actually charge - and off it goes.Second - it's got an internal battery. If your power goes off overnight - this thing will still wake you up. Having said that you could just have set an alarm on your phone but we'll keep quiet about that...The thing is - I'm used to waking up by some random radio station playing something I don't like. It's grating - which pings me awake and immediately. I'd estimate in the 10 or so years use out of my old alarm clock I actually heard about 3 minutes worth of music in total. This clock can go reasonably loud so it will continue the trend.In summary if you want an alarm that WILL get you up (even with a power cut) and can charge your phone - this is great. If you are looking for something to listen to music on you might want to look around.
